Nice looking maples Gavin. I love the Dissectum (first one) Thanks for the update :-)

Thank you, its starting to look like a nice tree! Looked a bit different when I bought it from the supermarket.

You know Jules, I never would have know that this was an Acer Dissectum until you said! Thanks for this! 👍
@gaiabonsai Жыл бұрын
@@NotAnotherBonsaiChannel You are welcome. The leaves are very finly cut and deeply lobed. Usually grafted and a bit slower growing than normal Acer Palmatum. That was a great find at a supermarket. The bonsai community is great for sharing knowledge and skills. Trust the wind has died down now. Take care and happy growing :-)

The color is outstanding on that second maple with yellowish leaves. Do you know the variety of the dissectum? If not, maybe 'Seiryu?'
@NotAnotherBonsaiChannel Жыл бұрын
You know, I'm not sure of what variety that one is. This was taken from a ground layered branch from a much larger tree that we have as a patio plant. This tree has been with us for many years, I have no idea where the little ID tag has gone. Could very well be a Seiryu. I've just had a look at a few photos online and the leaves do look very similar.

And I've finally got ten mins to watch this!! I love all of your maples!!! The first one is my favourite Thanks for review of the chopstick,the lettering is awful. Keep your eyes peeled for a video on a special "hybrid" chopstick
@NotAnotherBonsaiChannel Жыл бұрын
Thanks Dan! I wouldn't say they're world class maples just yet, but they are definitely trees in development. I don't think the lettering is that bad! You can clearly see NABC and TBP. A hybrid chopstick eh? Now that'll be interesting!
