There is a ton of eye candy for the women in the game too, and a lot of ear candy as well. The outfits of Eve are *very* stylish, intricate and feminine, beginning at her shoes up to the sword that auto-folds into a hair accessory. The music is *very* pleasant too, from the soft soothing songs at the camps to the adrenaline pumping beats of the boss fights. The way Eve walks and jumps is very feminine, and her combat acrobatics is aesthetic and rich in variety. And she can swim underwater like a dolphin. As a bonus, the physique of the buildings, statues and plants is intricate and realistic in its layout and decay. Every aspect of this game shows an *immense care for detail and appreciation of femininity* . In contrast, the monster designs are very alien, unsettling and appear in many variants, displaying a lot of creativity.

I'm glad to see strong but feminine female characters in games and movies. In the '60s we had super secret agent Emma Peel in "The Avengers." Batgirl. Catwoman. Im sorry for bringing the political aspects into this, but its been dawning on me lately how big the silent majority actually is. I was somewhat surpirsed to see how many female streamers where picking up this game after it seemed like the vocal minority had completely polarised the title: Either you take a hard stance against the supposed objectification of women in this game, or you are an enabler of biggotry. It did get me thinking about how often I have seen female streamers create a charcter ingame with the idea of making a "sexy character". People (and with that game devs) should never understimate the power of "I want to feel attractive", which comes into play in many role playing games. Myself included. When I play games like dark souls, I dont make an overweight balding character, but rather some badass warrior, with sleek armor and cool hair. Not because I consider myself as such, but rather because it is just fun to play something other then yourself. Recently there has been a lot of discussion on the topic of the "ugglification" of game characters. Where female characters are porposefully made to look like less attractive versions of their mo-cap actresses, or where characters get less good looking in a sequel. (pokemon has even been rolling out updates to this extend). Its all a bit silly when you realise most people don't have a problem with attractive video game characters, some might even prefer it. It does beg the question, who are the people actually complaning about this? What is the demographic that these types of changes are actually aimed at? This is probably a jump to a conclusion, so take this with a grain of salt. But I think the biggest complaints are from people ridden with insecurities. They see a good looking character and recognise within it all their own shortcomings and imperfections. Like that mirror from harry potter that shows you what you most desire but can possibly never attain. Meanwhile normal people see a cool/hot videogame character and just think: "nice"
