It’s nice seeing the optimism in the comments. I was an early adopter on the original psvr and remember how negative the comments were by people who didn’t even try it out first. I am just as excited if not more for the psvr2!!

i dont think people realize what an upgrade this truly is from the last PSVR headset. the last one, while it did have some impressive games, still had a lower res screen in the headset and was blurry in most games. gave me eye strain. but the PSVR2 has double or slightly more for resolution this time and 60-120fps capable. HDR lighting in games, higher resolution textures in games, higher frame rates.. the games will look way different, and way better this time. having haptic feed back in the VR2 controllers will be an experience, and also dont forget the headset can rumble during gameplay, too! im lookin forward to better graphics, less if any eye strain, and hopefully seeing many current games get support for VR2. such as gta 5, minecraft, rush of blood, dead by daylight, R6 extraction, deep rock galactic, hell let loose, fall guys and more. game devs could port their current games to the VR2 and and pad out the library even further. i hope newer games coming soon will support VR2 at some point, games like Dead Island 2.

I’d they don’t add this for now you could make the function button the mute button, as all you need to do for passthrough is double tap the PlayStation button and press x. It ends up being faster anyways due to how little time it takes to execute the action

That would be nice But what I do is assign the mute button to the function button, because all you have to do to go into passthrough is double tap the PlayStation button and then hit x. Takes the same amount of time as pressing the button anyway as you could do that action very quickly

I am an oldster and can barely qualify as a casual gamer. But I have a Quest 2 and like it and am totally open to getting the PS5 with VR. I think I like that you stand and move in the games. Prescription lenses are a big issue. Have them for the Quest, using the distance Rx from my progressive lenses.

1:42 you meant, one size fits most. I have a big nose and my eyes are close together. I had to install my own foam pads in order to see the display as clear as possible and to not get a red bump on my nose. Sony, I'm surprised you did not install any padding on the inside edges of the lenses. After my rudimentary addition, I could wear the headset for hours now.

While this may sound crazy look up a video about psvr2 reviews and look for a bald white dude. He mention in his video that he tested out a bunch of different extensions cords and said only one or two of them worked. He listed in his description which one worked

@@Genchi_Violet I think i saw this.... Also I know of a german guy testing for "Heise Verlag", he said the same. 1 metre cable extension (3.2, 10 G/bit) worked, longer cables had problems or didn't. I remeber someone saying "using cables could lead into tracking issues".... I really don't want to pay for a cable not working. Wouldn't it be nice to know from Sony ... they decided for 4.5 metres, and this could be price/cost related decision or because technically more isn't usable. I dont want to buy a bunch of cables and be a cable tester for PSVR2 :D

Here’s my tip for Sony, deal with the mura issue (oled doesn’t mean mura guys) and give us an option to sharpen the image and for experienced users to disable reprojection…. 60fps vr doesn’t make all of us sick and those reprojection artifacts hurt it…

I got mine on Saturday afternoon in the mail. Sony makes you sign for it so I was getting ready to head out the door cuz I already had pre-made plans and luckily FedEx showed up. My first VR if you don't count the Samsung one where you strap your phone to your forehead. Takes a while to get used to it. Hurts my nose and hurt my head happening on but every time I think I have it set perfectly I take it off and it resets I played it a lot today and it's amazing especially horizon. It's going to take some getting used to in my arms are already worn out because there's a lot of climbing. I left the house and I came back and I wanted to play it and I went to turn it on and it didn't turn on I didn't realize there was a power plug in the front and if that becomes unplugged it's a pain in the butt to get back in. But I was panicking thinking I broke it already but just an FYI if it becomes loose

I always let my cable (PCVR) fall down in front of me. I never have any issues with tangling (including movement-heavy games like Beat Saber). Letting it fall down my back, however, I do "fear" tripping over the cable (that's why I changed it after the first time) and it feels irritating on my back (maybe that's just from being not used to it, though). I guess it may also depend on your orientation relative to the PC / console. When in VR, I face my PC and the cable comes from the front. To me, it's natural to have the cable go to the HMD in front of me.

Mine works fine. What I don't get is why they show the player facing the TV? If you turn the opposite side and put the cable behind your back the cable doesn't get in the way, unless you spin around. Better to use snap-turning for that.

If it's anything like the quest 2, you'll be able to set up roomscale at any size, however if your play area isn't very big, you'll keep seeing the playarea walls appear in game. On Q2, moving beyond the boundary wall you've set up changes the view to pass-through so you can see your room and not the game. PSVR2 will likely be similar.

If you notice at 5:15, it says about choosing whether you want to stand up or sit down. What would you need to do if you want to change this without changing the whole play area. For example, if I want to sit on my sofa and play kayak, does that mean if I want to stand while playing pavlov or HCOTM, I would then have to change the play area?

No from the three VR Play Style modes sitting / standing share the same minimum distance required to play 1m by 1m, roomscale gives you more freedom 2m by 2m Though you can always scan your play area then customize it to fit your needs on top of setting barriers if you need to avoid getting near anything you want to avoid

If you setup as roomscale you can sit down just fine. But if you setup for sitting you will have to restart the setup to do roomscale. Also redoing the play area setup is not really that hard it takes like 1-2 minutes so not a big deal.

Having an issue with my PSVR 2 Sense controller not working in games. My problem is with the Right Sense controller not acknowledging button clicks in game. Only work around is performing a hard reset of the controller while the game is open and then reconnecting. I have to do this with every new game session. I know this is a common problem with a lot of people. Like this comment if you have the same issue so we can get visibility on this issue so Sony can fix it.

Can't figure out how to get surround sound after activating VR2. Only sound option is headphones. My surround sound speakers still function, but only 2 of the 7 are active
