gosh I'm so sad. I spent about 3 hours scouring the internet to find this game because today for some reason a random memory of this game popped in my head. I watched all the ps1 demos one by one to find it. I think this was the game I remember. I used to spend hours playing this on one of the PS1 demo disks. Memories of a happier time *sigh*

i was 4 when i first played this demo, it's the first gaming memory i have, i dont think the version i played had the animated fight at the beginning, or maybe i just skipped it i would have remembered the pilots being hot chicks

Wait this was a Ghost in the Shell demo?? I only recall it being on one of my short lived ps1 days games that I could play - I bought a bunch from a teenage guy and a old guy, got 2 ps1's and this game was one of the few that actually still worked, haven't gone back to play it since getting my ps2 on my birthday on 19/07/2010. Also 1:12 - 1:22 that's a good Major scene right there, doesn't seem to fit the drone part that's going on tho. - What demo disk is this from? I'd like to check it out if I can get this demo for a emulator and play it again for old time sake.

"Speedy mech combat with a whole lot of strafing and a thumping techno soundtrack" sounds like my kinda game. So did these demo discs just have demos of literally every PS1 game?

I doubt every game but it's plausible that a large percentage of them would have had demos. you'd normally get around 12-15 on each disc and the magazine ran for about 108 issues so there would have been scope for well over a thousand demos. The demos were sometimes repeated on different discs though.

Hi ! At the time I'm writing this comment, "Ghost in the shell" staring Scarlett Johansson was released worldwide in cinema just one week ago. It's a good movie for non particularly GitS fan, but a bad adaptation for the fans apparently. This game right in this video seems so old now... Also Trump is US president since some times now, we're still afraid of what he'll do. England has signed officially for hard brexit now, EU is afraid of countries wanting to do the same. First in the line, my country France, who will elect his new president in 2 weeks, and there is chance it will be either a extreme-right racist woman or an old extreme-left pro-Putin sovietic man. Syrian's war is at his worst, and if, when you read this, islamist terrorist attack isn't a thing anymore, it still is as I'm writing this. Like my post guys if you come from several years after today - 10/04/2017 :-)

@LeKain08 from 2024, Trump is going to be US president in starting next year and EU is having cost of living crisis along side a migrant crisis and as a result the youth are picking right wing political parties to solve the issues as the left have done nothing about the issues. Syrian civil war has seen Assad fall and a new guy rise to the top wanting peace, other Syrian Arabs have agreed while the Kurds are still up for debate, but otherwise the conflict is now largely over.
