I feel privileged to have been able to play some of these games as a young child. I was subscribed to a monthly Playstation magazine that came with a new demo disc every month. One fateful month that magazine had an extra demo disc that included many of these Net Yaroze games. I really didn't know what homebrew games were, but it felt like hitting the jackpot for getting that many games that felt so special and different from the regular ps1 titles I was used to.

My dad bought a PS magazine every month for me and my little brother back in the days. I vividly remember the disc you're talking about, could be Euro Demo 42 or something, I found some of the Net Yaroze games better than the real demos haha :)

Thanks for uploading this. Played the hell out of Sphere on a demo disc when I was a kid and had absolutely no idea what game it was as I grew older, but 100% remembered the game, so it was always like a little lost piece of my childhood. Stumbled upon a master list of PS1 demo discs today, and after a good half hour of scouring here I am!

Terra Incognita is hecking amazing. Luckily I still got the demo disc, so I can get back to it from time to time. Still haven't managed to beat the boss monster lol. I used to play Terra alot when I was kid. The concept of the demo disc itself was so awesome. Waiting for the monthly Playstation magazine with new demos was like waiting for christmas!

You know what's really fucking funny? It's that I never really beat Terra Incognita, because the boss battle gives absolutely no damage feedback. I thought I need some special weapon or a key, or an item to bribe the dragon because hitting it didn't seem to do any damage. Normally the boss has HP bar and you can see it go down or the boss should flicker to indicate getting damaged.

Hey man, how you´ve been able to run a Demo disc on an Emulator? I downloaded DEMO 1 Version 5 (PAL) and tried make it run on Retroarch on the Bettle PSX HW emulator and PCX ReARmed but I had no luck. On the Bettle PSX it ran but it was stuck on a black screen while the PCX ReArmed didnt even boot the demo lol. Any tips bro?

Hey, I recently got an ISO file of a few net yaroze demos but when I open the list it gives me a black screen and an error "can not read data/contents.txt" i'm using ePSXe, if possible could you try to help me?

Net yarzoe was never released as a full disc with all the games with some shown here being uncensored or never released on a disc, at most is demo disc 42 (1x proud owner :) )which is a best of net yarzoe compilation. Most of these games come from different countries as well, so a fan seems to have lovingly put every game together and got everything working, as some of the games where originally released buggy or non working.

I have been thinking for years time now to create a small net yaroze community so we could all share what we find instead of the majority of collectors that just buy a demo disc and keep it all to themselves without sharing a piece with others. I noticed the informators I like to call them they just publicize the information about the demos and nothing happens to them but to all those who put hard work into sharing these masterpieces in terms of the isos they get silenced, miscouraged and forced to quit thanks to policies. Personally I don't care if I buy something and someone else owns that product that I have myself, even if they pirate it and the shitheads that just restrict all the best fun they can go to hell for all the censoring because they abuse it the worse and "they" pretends that they didn't do anything and get away with it.:-( In terms of the community there is already psxdev which is heavily dedicated to net yaroze and all in terms of the psx universe but there is hardly anyone that gives away a piece of rare findings without complaining. In fact if I would have found some group like that I'd join it long ago. They say it's somewhere out there but I have done years of research and hardly found any isos regarding it, what's worse is that if they do provide anything they completely rename it or even put password protection to avoid any hassle.
