What does that do? Export the texture into something like a texture atlas?

Why don't you just export the UV layout as a PNG?
@veryupstandinguy Жыл бұрын
it kinda gets hard to know where is the back,front sides and ect when directly painting on the uv

Good tutorial. Quick and easy. How do you export from blender to UE tho?
@callis3D7 ай бұрын
Sorry for the late reply, you export your model as an .fbx file, then find where you saved it in the folders. Then you simply drag it from the folder into the content drawer of unreal.

@@callis3D Awesome! Just subbed to you aswell so cant wait:) I'm pretty new in the 3d model space and have been fiddeling with crocotile3d for a while but i feel like the workflow is a bit slow, and have been wanting to try MESH EDIT by Jamie rollo but idk, so learning blender might be better. Im mainly trying to make low poly pixel arty environments (just for fun though)
@callis3D Жыл бұрын
@Comeplague that's really cool! Blender isn't specialised for low poly or pixel art but it's really versatile. I'd recommend learning it so you can do everything in one package if needed (rigging, animation, scenes, rendering). Good luck!

Any kind of filter filter on PS1 textures isn't it. PS1 textures were pixelated. So it should be nearest neighbor when downscaling or creating a texture.
@callis3D Жыл бұрын
You're right texture filtering would make it more accurate to an N64 game.
@gorahott8647 Жыл бұрын
u try ps1 and get n64 results. well done.

Did he jumpcut or is their a tool that models the mech based on the texture.
@callis3D Жыл бұрын
Jump cut, I based the model loosely on the image so things would line up

What's the legality of this? Many images have copyright attached to them, so I'm curious if this was used in a commercial product if it would just end up gaining a lawsuit.
@callis3D Жыл бұрын
If you're working for a game studio or trying to run your own indie business you should take source pictures yourself or purchase the rights to them. For solo and personal projects you can do what you want. I did the same workflow on a postbox in my neighbourhood with a few images I took myself and got the same result / or better, so in most cases you can avoid any copyright issues. i.imgur.com/Ta6SOeH.jpg

Textures define the PS1 style over models, and most PlayStation props are formed of cubes, just like this one. It was as simple as bevelling one edge and adding cylinder wheels.
