That last one is very interesting. My theory is that the Main menu screen is a "game" too, or an "app", but if it can't load it skips to a black screen anyway until it loads, so that corruption must've eliminated the loading code completely, so it doesn't even load to a black screen. Nicely done! :D

I think it's more like a scene or map. Because the BIOS maybe runs on some sort of proprietary 3D engine.

We know for sure that the Browser is an "App" or a "Game" because you can load it using the modded OSD game loader. The startup sequence, including the menu with "Browser" and "System Settings" are most likely scenes, considering they share the same cubes and light trails and effects. But the first scene, where it says "Sony Computer Entertainment" is responsible for checking the disc or HDD, and if you have an invalid disc or a scratched up one or something, even if the disc reader is still working and hasn't timed out, the scene will time out after a few seconds and go to the main menu, where if you enter the Browser, you'll still see "Reading disc...", or if you don't even go to the Browser, the main menu screen will fade to the game, just the first scene always times out after whatever seconds. So what I'm thinking is this corruption either got rid of the timeout or the code to load anything, or changed the timeout seconds. But anything is possible :D Also, considering it's not continually zooming in, like when it's loading normally, the above could make sense. I saw a different corruption (on this channel) where it would keep zooming in. That'd probably be not triggering the loading itself.
