On a lovely Spring day in Akihabara, I popped into Trader to have a look for some retro games, and wondered over to the PS2 section where I found a ton of great games at some rather reasonable prices, for the most part.

Thanks Jim! I feel like the Japanese selection of PS2 games is a gold mine! So many cool anime games and tons of fighting games and RPGs. Even a few shooters we didn't get in the west. Very good times to be had!

First Sengoku Basara was called Devil Kings here, then they changed it to the original Japanese name when we got the third game.

Trader was a gold mine for me my last trip there. Got some of the macross hybrid boxes cheap as well as macross for the ps2 for about $8-9 USD in flawless condition.

Thanks for this! I miss going to Akihabara. I used to go there once a year but due to Covid, I haven't been there since 2020. I love going to Trader and Book Off/Hard Off there. Not only to look for games, but CDs/DVDs as well.

man so much cool PS2 stuff! all the darkstalkers games were bundled together in the upcoming 'capcom fighting collection' featuring the entire DS series, red earth/warzard, super puzzle fighter 2 turbo, super gem fighter mini mix, cyberboths and hyper sf2 anniversary! definitely grabbing that physically soon as its out. shout-outs to bujingai and beatmania IIDX (definitely gonna collect that series once I get a hold of my turntable controller from back home!) and if I can gradius 3/4 and 5, for sure. always love the video game shop walkthroughs!

I was just there yesterday selling off a PS3 and a PS4 and a handful of games... didn't get as much as I hoped, but whatever. Some games surprised me how much I got for them. They gave me 1 yen for BattleBorn! I was expecting them to charge me to throw it away.

Yet another great video, ps2 and all! I like it :) got YS Arc of Nephostim and that Tales of Destiny DC box aswell in my collection and they are great games! I wouldn’t mind that Ys box aswell as many of the fighting games you looked on here.
