What cables did you use any link ? There are small and 2 big Can you help looking to solder too

have you check my website ? gusse.in ? gusse.in/ps2-modchip-diagram-and-resources/playstation-2-scph900xx-v17-v18-modbo-installation-diagram/#diagram-1 otherwise to make it simple, the principle is the same on all PS2, the points: Y GHI BA on the main chip, which I call management of the DVD drive, CX and SX ditto, they are in the same place on all PS2 (including PSX DESR) and then MNOP QTUV RW and then the 3v3 and GND are found easily enough
