This was filmed at our final official rehearsal at PS22. The kids outdid themselves on this absolutely gorgeous version of "Pictures of You" by The Cure. You can spot a few tears on this recording, because this was our last day together in school. This 2009 group has had quite a run, and there are still a few more songs that will be debuted (and a couple of more summer performances) before the reigns are turned over to the highly-anticipated PS22 Chorus of 2010!

I'm stunned - these kids are actually singing from the heart, unafraid to use their voices, on pitch, and neither mumbling nor shouting. Kudos to THE TEACHER for giving the students the gift of self-confidence and expression!

I returned to this. When I first saw and heard it, I donated. The cure and this song is my favorite. The chorus leader sent me the best audio version he had. So kind. Now I have family Alzheimer’s/dementia. Memories and music help. Thank you for this meaningful posting.

My tears tell me that I have enjoyed all of the Pictures of You this year. You have given me back the joy I used to have in music. If you are going down the highway and you see some 60 year old guy really bouncing around in his car and singing with all kinds of joy, that will be me because you have given that to me. I’ve loved this since the first time I’ve seen it. I’ve grown up with The Cure’s music and I have passed that to my children. Sadly, my daughter lost her newborn daughter, my first Grandchild named Evalyn, two months ago. I had often dreamed of singing this song with her. I’m heartbroken. But thank you for catching the eternal beauty of this song.

I cried--stumbled across this by mistake and watched--- it is amazing!!!!! my nephew is a choral director at a grade school and his choir snag for the president during 9/11 ceremonies last yr-- he was also a former marine chore trumpeter in the marine chore band on the whitehouse lawn. Chorus is near and dear to our hearts.
