PS3 Eject Button Repair - PS3 Super Slim - Disassemble & Repair

I did exactly how was shown in the video and now my PS3 is PERFECT! Eject button working 100%! Thank you so much! The only part I did different was the hole for the screw, I did it using a heated needle, got same result.

Great video. One of the white nylon gears has lost its teeth on my PS3 SS. Do you know what the spec is for the 2 white cogs? I think they are identical. Is that right?

Great work. Awesome solution for tensioning the spring loaded gear. There's one detail I'm not clear on which is where to position the non geared part of that gear/spindle. You'll notice that about 80% of the larger gear on that spindle is toothed and the remainder is bare. I can't quite work out what that exactly does. It appears to be related to the black and grey piece which somehow relates to the position of the door.

Even tho I repaired it as you said, still not working. Eventually I got it, i tightened spring too much, watch out for this.

this will be very helpful. my superslim has a functional mechanism however the spring doesn't have any tension. but the console still works fine so I'll wait it out for a little bit

Unfortunately I broke some of the gears while trying to do this. I was so close but when I was loading that spring back everything just started to snap. Oh well at least the ps3 lid still opens. This is a good video nevertheless. Thanks for helping
