PS3 Tutorial - HEN "Alternate" 4.85 install method. For those having trouble getting hen to install.

If you try installing hen 4.85 and experience freezing, lock up or hen just not wanting to install, here is the alternate method. Requires usb formatted to fat32 and for ps3 to have internet connection. YOu will need to install HFW 4.85! the video covers how

Hen fails and reboots ever time i load up the HEN Enabler, been stuck on this for 4 hours. Its driving me mad.

it shouldn't be. something is wrong. either you dont have the right HFW installed, your ps3 doesn't have an internet connection...etc. make sure you go into the ps3's settings and select "test connection" and make sure you get those 2 or 3 "succeeded" messages up at the top of the window. then try again. Also change your usb. It may not be fat32 or the ps3 just can't read it. change the port, change the usb.

After I go in and back out of remote play the icon doesn't pop up on my xmb in fact the hole internet tab in the xmb stops working till I redownload the update

hmmmm go over to psx-place.com and ask there. The devs of hen reside there and are always on there frequently they can tell you whats wrong. I've never run into that problem so I can't help out.

When choosing to enable HEN, PS3 just hangs with the clock icon continuosly rotating.... Then PS3 eventually freezes.

try one of the other methods. Also make sure that the "confirm to close browser" option in the browser's options is set to off. After I'm done downloading the files and everything I downloaded multiman and webman and done with the process of hen I went to package manager then clicked install packages file then I couldn't find the options in standard nor the other folders in there please help

no not through hen. HEN is one thing CFW is another. You can install cfw over HFW if your ps3 is a FULLY jailbreakable model. If its not then you can only install hen on those models and thats it. Those models will never have cfw.

make sure in the browser settings you set the "confirm browser close" is set to off. if that don't work, there's like 4 other methods of installing. over at psx-place.com they have them all listed there.

@@kmzoilus2486 it said exploit failed and I closed the browser and open the browser again and this time I only let it load to 10% and exited it out and then I went back to and let it load to 100% and it worked. Hope this method helps others too.
