FIA GT 2009 - Round 03 - Oschersleben

A little race review of the 2009 FIA GT Championship race in Oschersleben, Germany. This race was the third race of the season.

Even though this is rly old and like 13 years old i still cant take my eyes of the GT1/GT2 cars off and those races , i have pure love for them thats why i still love to race in GTR2 :) with mods too :) thx for this awesome commentary race video

You consider cars from 2009 old? The Porsche 917 from the 60s and 70s is maybe old, but these cars are still pretty new! I loved the racing back then and I drove at Oschersleben multiple times myself! Unfortunately no GT1 but GT3, Formula BMW and Group A 80s touring cars.

2004 was one of the best seasons of the series afterwards it started to go downhill

I honestly hated how dominant the Maserati was. Felt like they were part of the problem for FIA GT1 going away, on top of rising costs

I wholeheartly agree. To an extent, it was an actual problem.

The problem with FIA GT1 was that BOP didn't exist back then. But that was also the charm. It was the race between engineers. A lot more exciting in my opinion than the race between drivers.

But I'm glad this class was invented cause now we can still see it racing. Both the late 90s GT1 AND the 2000s era GT1 cars are still racing today and that's because of the simple fact that they exist, that they were invented and you can't just let them rot in a garage.
