1.) Its not surprising that Windows is setup to benefit the XBOX controllers more than Sony lol. 2.)It feels like you have to revert back to PS2 days by having a wired controller in your hands. Pretty neat you can do it, but not worth the extra trouble to have a little extra comfort

I just wanted to mention the PS4 controller works with the PS3 WIRELESSLY also. You just have to sync and register it. I can make a video on how to if needed

I think the PS4 controller should be optimized for PC and PC games. The trackpad could work as a mouse so you don't have to put the controller away when you need to use the pointer.

Have you got one yet? I recently got one and I fucking love it. It doesn't have official support but there are a bunch of tools that make it work flawlessly, including the track pad. I personally use Input Mapper. I Don't think I can ever go back to the 360 pad.

Right on, thanks for the feedback! The camera is too close but I do it this way so my desk is framed right and I can still reach the camera to focus. Working on it though.

Went with a 27" Dell 1440p monitor. Liked the ultrawide display but I needed a 1440p monitor for videos anyway.

no it doesn't Though the PS3 has enough audio output methods already such as HDMI, AV and Optical, I also believe USB sound Output is possible on the PS3 but not with the PS4 controller

Got a PS4 controller myself, and a small number of PC games are actually working with it (mostly fighting games). Hopefully when the PS4 is fully released we get some sort of driver update so that more games can work.

They've already said they decided not to do that so as not to force the player to look down at his controller, breaking away from the action even if for a split second. Going with the touchpad was much more convenient, because it allows for many more gameplay options, and you don't have to stare at your controller to perform simple gestures.

it's apparently the grips are even more comfortable than the 360 controller especially with the battery pack underneath removed. the improved thumbsticks, d-pad, triggers, and bumpers. also it the chat sound quality has been improved. but im most excited for the impulse triggers. I heard the impulse triggers were really cool and immersive.

You can play with the PS4 controller on PS3 just buy pressing "Share" and PS , for a few seconds , the light is flashing , now go to the setting of the PS3 , accesories setting , bluetooth devices , add new one , and the "Wireless controller" is the PS4 one.

As an xbox primary gamer I can honestly say the controller is looking top notch. The play station controller has always felt very awkward to me, but this controller is a step in the right direction. I'm curious as to how sales will go amongst the xbox and ps4 sale wars.

Definitely buying once someone releases some custom drivers that allow us to use the touchpad for trackpad emulation and control the LED and maybe even the speaker, on top of standard xinput mappings, like we have now with the PS3 pad.

Everybody I know who disliked the Dualshock controllers up until now and have tried the Dualshock 4 actually liked it. Some reactions were priceless. I found it to be awesome. I can tell how much time and money was spent on it, and I can tell that they have listened to all the feedback on previous Dualshocks. The most incredibly subtle things that I didn't even know about have been tweaked, and it is by far my favorite Dualshock ever made. As gamers, you all owe it to yourselves to try it!

I currently use a PS3 controller on the PC using BetterDS3 tool. Although I use a Mouse and Keyboard for most games that I play, games that almost require a controller, like Dark Souls; the PS3 controller works just fine. I think I will hold off on getting either of the new next gen controllers and I am content waiting for the new Steam controller. Even if it costs $100 it is not only fully PC optimized, it looks so much more incredible then the console controllers.

Hey Austin you can use the controller with pc with no hiccups if you download MotionJoy. It basically allows you to hook any controller to your pc and be able to configure it to any system controller type. Like you mentioned most games work with Xbox controller, but MotionJoy takes care of that!!!!!

Install Motion Joy and your PC will see the PS4 controller as a 360 controller. THis fixes almost all compatibility issues on the PC side.

I don't get why it is a great deal, that this controller works on the PS3, too. The new controller is sorta the killer for me. I loved how the smaller Dualshock3 fit into my hands, it was the perfect size. Oh well, I'll just scour Amazon for a Dualshock 3 shaped controller for the PS4. If it will exist haha.

Looks pretty nice. Always hated the PS3 controller because it was so small and slick plastic. This looks like a solid improvement. I'll have to see how it stacks up against the XBone controller. I have always loved Microsoft's controllers.

I would love to see sony make both a wireless adapter for PC, and a proper driver. If i could use the touchpad as a trackpad for a mouse cursor on PC, i would probably be able to use it over my wireless peripherals most of the time. If this ever happens, i would also love to see games support the input commands for the controller as well, like the xinput that a lot of games use these days.

if sony doesnt release something im sure someone else will, for instance with third party drivers you can hook a ps3 controller up to your pc with usb or bluetooth and even customize the buttons to what ever you want including 360 controller emulation. and six axis works to.

I have huge hands and all, and I honestly believe that the PS3 controller is literally the perfect controller (besides keyboard and mouse). After using many different controllers the best to me is the PS3 one and I don't see any room for improvement. My fingers have never ever slipped off of the L2 and R2 buttons, and the convex sticks are just great. If I could use the PS3 controller for the PS4 I'd get one, but if I can't, then I'll wait for The Last of Us 2 and deal with the Dualshock 4.

I will totally get a PS4 controller to use on my pc once it gets more compatibility for games. Seems so far that the 360 controller is the absolute standard as far as pc compatible gamepads go... Personally I use my ps3 controller but I still have to deal with the xbox 360 button layout in my mind when I play.

You should Google a program called "ds3tool" it basically changes the dualshocks input and makes the PC think it's an xbox controller therefore making all games that support the xbox controller work flawlessly

In case anyone might find this useful: I'm using DS4 on PS3 and playing MGSV: Ground Zeroes. Wired the game doesn't play but on wireless it does with a catch; L2 and R2 doesn't work. Fighting games like Marvel vs Capcom3 and Ultra Street Fighter 4 work well.

It just needs to be like the ps3 controller where you use a program called ds3tool and you can set it so that the game thinks it's a 360 controller. you can also so re-map buttons any way you like. like you could put make the r3 button to be the r2 button.
