It shouldn't delete your data off of the psn. You just log back in and download the game again and all of your stuff should still be there. I've had to do this multiple times and everytime I reinstall all of the games everything is still there. It's just deleting all of the data off of your ps4

My PS4 went into safe mode just the other day . From reading and watching so many failed KZbin videos i began to panic. Instead i went ahead and bought a USB stuck it into the PlayStation that I play in the living room that works; i saved all my data from that ps4 onto the USB. After all my data was saved i went back to the ps4 that was in “Safe Mode” and went ahead and chose “Initialize” after i chose initialize it completely reset my ps4. When it came on i signed back in and “Downloaded” everything i had saved on my USB also if you have a PlayStation Plus everything should be saved ONLINE! Just go to: “Applications Saved Data Management” in settings ... Go down to “Saved Data in online storage if you have a Plus . Or “Saved data on USB Storage device” if you went the route to save it onto a USB . 😄

if someone doesn’t understand how to get to the menu here’s a simple thing wait until the ps4 is turned off then hold the power button on the ps4 until you hear two beats then the ps4 should turn on and connect your ps4 controller to the ps4 with the charger and press the ps4 button don’t use any of the first ones use rebuild data base which deletes all corrupted files so you will have to sign into the your PlayStation account your welcome it’s still hard for me but I gave simple instructions after watching this video 100 times

@@kawaljitsingh1572 if you eanna do it yourself, you need a new hard drive. You can buy one straight off the I ternet or maybe like best buy or something. The onws in the original playstations are toshiba but I dont think they make them anymore but you can still use any other. You can cjoose from 1 terabyte ($100) 500megabytes ($60-80) and 2terabytes (rrally just for PlayStation pro $150-180) then download the PlayStation operating system off sony and reinstall it with a wired control. I just took mine to get fixed with a new hard drive. Cost me $95

While I am sure this worked, it did not for me. I merely just unplugged my main and sub router, waited for about 45 seconds and plugged the main router back up first and waited until it had turned itself completely on. (Sending, receiving, and testing the internet). Afterwards, then I plugged the sub router/modem back up and waited until it did the same thing, and now everything works. Hopefully this assists someone down the road!

Anyone know another way of getting into safe mode? Mine doesn’t beep at all and when I hold and count 7 seconds it just powers up normally but I’m getting no signal on the screen every time

so i was in the safe mode loop, and had to initialize it. after reinstalling some games i saw that all the data was gone. after this i re downloaded it from cloud storage, but to my amazment it was all corrupted so i cant use it. words cannot describe my personal anger, as i have over 4 years of data, and i genuinely dont know what to do. am i fucked or is there some way i can get it back? happy to provide more details if someone is willing to help. if i cant im going to commit a murder

My PS4 cannot even go to Safe Mode, because two or three seconds after its first beep it shuts down. Doesn't give second beep. What is the reason behind this? Would be happy for a reply. Thanks.

Can you tell more about your 12.00 update that is preventing my PS4 from working since Thursday, while it was perfectly working the days/weeks/months before? Because I tried ALL options for installing this update (i wouldn't mind staying with the previous version, but have no choice, since online connection of the console is out if we don't) and i'm still stuck in safe mode. Is the only solution to clear all the console's data by selecting options 6 & 7 ? And no option to at least access saves to copy them on USB or cloud before processing? Maybe through the app, so this one would become useful? No ??? BRAVO SONY !
