No... You still need a verification code to even log into your account online as well. You can't make a backup code without being able to sign in online...

None of the backup codes Sony provide ever work. Have to call/online chat Sony support to unlock your account access. Had to do it twice now, each time takes about an hour of answering the most obscure questions.

You will have to live chat with PS customer support. They willl verify your serial number on Playstation then disable 2 step verification. Good luck.

For anybody that need help call PlayStation customer service that’s how I got mines back . Tell them you can’t sign in bc you got a different number now and they will ask you some questions and ask what’s your email and then you’ll be able to log in bc they’ll take the 2 step verification off !!!! Guys if you have a Gmail then get the google Authenticator, it’s what you’re missing and sign in if not already. Type in the numbers it gives you and you should be able to enter hope this helps

Just call or chat with the support people I waited in a line of 398 people 3 times for 1hr and a half for this none solving solution but they fixed it within 10mins. As llonng as you have the serial number from the bottom of the PlayStation, gamer tag and or phone number “ Optional “ and email you’ll get it back!!!!
