For charging current calculation, why insulation resistance was not included for impedance?
@ashwanisharma90322 жыл бұрын
First of all you have to know, what is charging current okk,,,, Then you have to know, The existence of a charging current is due to the effect of the capacitance of the transmission line. At no load condition 😁

Hope u r fine sir. The formula for insulation resistance of a single core cable does not contain a voltage factor. But it is obvious for high voltage circuits leakage current will be more and hence high insulation resistance. According to my understanding, the formula will give the same insulation resistance for 11KV and 33KV. Kindly clarify.

Thx sir. But You mistook my question, sir. I will try to put my question in a different way so that we can derive maximum benefit from you, sir. Suppose we have a insulating material XLPE and obiviously it has some insulation resistance . If i am working with 11KV cable and 33 KV cable insulation resistance required in latter case will be more as compared to former case so that the cable has proper thickness of XLPE , so that if any one touches it or it comes in contact with any external object proper insulation level is maintained. Moreover, external objects will behave differently for different voltage levels. But natural Voltage does not change the insulation of XLPE cable but the external objects will behave differently for different voltage levels. This is my field experience and that is why the same condutor of a cable will be insulated differently for 6.6 KV, 11KV and 132 KV voltage levels(Indian standard voltage levels). I watched your video sir and I got some answers from the numerical problem on cable where you calculated the thickness of the insultaion .That numerical explicitly explains how to determine the required insulation levels for various voltage levels. For example, insulation Resistance , resistivity and conductor area and other parameters of XPLE or PVC will be known and i require a single core cable insulation of 5 Megaohms for 11KV and 12 Megaohms 33 KV(say) . Thickness of insulation will be more for 33KV level. This doesn,t mean 33KV changes insulation resistance but reflects that external objects need more insulation for 33KV than 11KV. That is why voltage level will decide the insulation level of a cable. Sorry for boring u, sir. Shared my field experience with u sir.

I think electrical field intensity is inversely proportional to x2 or square of the distance as derived in books.....
