Diablo IV is an upcoming action role-playing game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment and is the fourth main installment in the Diablo series. The game was announced at BlizzCon 2019 and is scheduled for release on June 6, 2023. Public betas were released in March 2023.[6] Series features such as re-playable, procedurally generated dungeons, and loot-focused character-building will return, while new features such as an open world, and player versus player (PVP) interactions will be incorporated. Players create their character from one of five playable classes, Barbarian, Sorceress, Druid, Rogue, and Necromancer, and guide them through quests and combat in the world of Sanctuary after the resurrection of the demon Lilith.

Do you really need PS Plus for this game and do you really have to stay online all the time to play this game? I even heard that some people can crash your game any time if you want or not. I love this kind of games but i never play online and multiplayer and i don't want to buy PS Plus for that game.

No you don't have to be online or need PS Plus to play the campaign or solo. You need ps plus and be online to play with others.

The cinematics and universe are great, but the gameplay seems to get worse with every part. Plus not class, skill or weapon variety. Think of Wolcen, which had a very rough start, as you like (and Diablo is definitely more polished although the Wolcen developers are still working hard with regular updates), but it offers so much more skills, weapon types and ways of creating your char as you like plus the combat feels as it has much more impact. Watching Diablo 4 gameplay starts to feel like an auto survival battler sometimes.

@@PoneyGonflable All what Diablo 1 and Diablo 2 offered. Immersion, challenge and the feel that enemies are indeed the monsters they want you to think. Diablo 3 and Diablo 4 turned all that into an Arcade button smasher were you are wiping dozens of enemies off the screen with the most visual effects possible. Plus the classes offer not much variation for this being the 4th iteration of the game. They even used most of the same skills and mechanics from Diablo 3!

Possibly one of the most overrated and boring games I’ve ever played. So dull and the epitome of a button basher. If the game had a better combat system than just pushing a button it would be better. There is no skill involved in this game at all. I’m churning through enemies and don’t even feel the tension of possibly dying or struggling against an enemy
