Yes....Get a super ultrawide monitor.. Once you have used it, you will not go back. Not to mention playing PC games that are actually optimized for widescreen monitors is a fantastic experience. I came from a triple monitor set up and don't miss it one bit since I got the Odyssey G9.

I experimented playing my PS5 on the G9 but I ended up going back to an actual 4k tv that I have in my office area, which in this case was more satisfying. IF the PS5 ever adds 1440P support, then I will revisit and would probably recommend.

i plugged my xbox series S on an ultrawide 21:9 LG 29WP60G FHD gaming monitor few days ago. I couldnt agree with you more! once i played with it, although consoles do not support 21:9 but only 16:9 ratio, all the games did look astonishing on this monitor, despite the fact that the 29 inches are somewhat small for ultrawide gaming. I am going for a 34" LG utrawide monitor soon, and this would be the end of the 16:9 screens for good in my gaming sessions, i know this for sure...

It's perfect for gamers. As the whole r1000 curve was made with gaming in mind it doesn't stretch if u have the correct games and settings. The curve is absolutely fantastic when talking about immersion this the king. This is a gaming system has given immersion a new thing thesis a must buy for me

I actually just received the monitor and have played a few games on it and it is really really nice. I am just trying to decide what would be more immersive/enjoyable to play single player games. Should I stick with this Samsung g9 ultra wide or go with a 77” C1 where I can just sit back and relax on a couch or something in the game room. I’m not sure what would be more enjoyable for single player games. I thought about returning this monitor and buying a regular 27inch 1440p monitor for Warzone and other fps games and then the 77 C1 OLED for single player games. But I’m not sure if what I have is the beat of both worlds. What’s your opinion on my situation?

The video games itself made for fixed 16:9 resolution in consoles. It is not a problem of PS5, but the policy between Sony and game developers. It might be the same issue between MS and the developers, too.

The proximity affect on your mic, is causing your voice to sound like you are in a brick room. Adjust your Mic's polar pattern or buy a clip on mic.

32:9 aspect ratio is for PC only... If you are a console, why would you buy something just to get everything stretched out? As for the quality, a PC with 3k and a 32:9 monitor with 1k minimum vs a 500 PS5 capped at 60 fps, which one do you think is better? I bought a PS5 since Sony doesn't release some games on PC, but I cannot tolerate the 16:9 aspect ratio once you have experieced the 32:9 aspect ratio. Now my PS5 is just a controller charger. PS5 controller is awesome though. To make things simple, PC is like spending 3 grand (if not more) to get a 90/100 experience, while PS5 is like spending 500 to get a 75/100 experience. If money isn't an issue, go for the first option. If money is an issue, go for PS5. Simple as that.

To clarify, gaming on PC typically has higher upfront cost but games are cheaper. If buying a console, the upfront cost is lower but games are typically more expensive.

I was shocked to hear that PS5 doesn't support ultra wide and there's no option to define the aspect ratio to make it look less stretched. If you can't find the option anywhere via PS5 settings, monitor settings, and/or in game settings. Maybe need an external hardware like a descaler?

Some hint that newer PS5 games will support wider screen resolutions (not ultra wide though). Also runni g two sources side by side, the frame rate drops significantly on the screen. So gaming on one source and laptop on another will not be a great experience.

SUWide = gimmick than function, yyyyeah. Working with documents side by side or having IDE on one side and tutorials/documentation is work - changer. I just went from regular 16:9 to 21:9 and I wish I had done it earlier.

The more annoying thing that comes from matching PS5 and Samsung G9 is the latter only accepts higher frame rates via Displayport. At the end of the day, PS5 can only display at 60 fps on this monitor, kind of waste.
