They are clearly cartoon like still. Diminishing returns are a b*tch and pretty much shows to us what happens with most technologies (they advance fast and then seemingly stop). Btw that is why the simulated universe trope (matrix and the like) makes no sense, the universe is full with S curves, not unbounded exponentials. A universe cannot simulate itself, it can only create decidedly unrealistic versions of itself (via simulation) but never something to be mistaken with the real thing...

BF3 was the greatest imo. The graphics were new, the maps were mesmerizing, the community was friendly and always going for the objective. Assignments, medals and weapon unlocks were very fun tasks to achieve. It all got killed when premium, pay to win and after that BF4 came. I don't know about you guys but I think BF5 and BF1 are soulles failed projects.

Graphics seem to be as good as needed, I would work on viewing distance accuracy, sound and movement… the graphics race seems to have hit a point of diminishing returns. Texture could be upgraded I assume, but gameplay supersedes that when it comes to vram utilization.

As an old man I also find it slightly disturbing how close to reality pictures and sounds are when murdering humans.
