In this video I walk through my experience sending in these 17 autographed cards to PSA and Beckett and we look at the results!

Thumbs up! What a great video. LOVED IT. New to your channel. Keep up the excellent work. Great stuff I am seeing. Love the sigs and slabs. Cool all around, later on Jay

I’m glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching, Jay!
There may be more signed cards of Bob Feller out there than unsigned ones! 😂😂😂 Thanks for watching, Jon!

I love the video and your idea! I’m going to try this. Very inexpensive, but entertaining way to collect autos.

It definitely has its risks! But also, I think I still came out ahead on this one, considering what slabbed authenticated autos sell for vs unslabbed unauthenticated ones. Thanks for watching!

Haha, yeah 1990 Kingpins are great! I know that’s not most of my subscribers’ thing, but I do like them, and it’s my channel! 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for watching!

Great video my friend…that Schmidt auto looks good to me🤙🏽

I agree - I’m going to eventually send that into PSA for a second (third?? 😂) opinion whenever they have an encapsulation special. Thanks for watching, LouRok!

So many great autographs and really cool on the diamond kings. The Schmidt definitely looks legit. When you turned it at the right angle I could see it looked liked the card was almost etched from the pen pushing down too hard. I wonder if he had to push too hard with the pen he was using and it failed just because of that. They have it listed as one of their 50 reasons to fail not including the blank line. Lol Nice return regardless

Yeah, I’m definitely getting PSA’s opinion on that one. Someone else in the comments thinks it’s a clubhouse auto maybe through TTM, but I’m not sure. Thanks for watching, Joe!

NO WAY!! 🤯🤯🤯 Wasn’t that outburst directed at like a 12-year old kid who was pseudo-heckling him? Amazing!

@@HighPopProfessor it’s the bowling alley I bowl at and it was my first time seeing pros bowl, so I was a deer in headlights. However, it was drop dead silent when these guys went and I didn’t even hear or see what was bothering him. I also heard the rumors (a kid), but I can’t confirm.

I can’t say I’ve been to watch a big PBA event, but I did get to see Mike Scroggins coaching his son back when I was a high school bowling coach in Texas. I walked by him and then basically did a double take, thinking to myself, “Wait, was that just…?” I introduced myself and told him I was a fan and he seemed like a great guy.

That Schmidt may be autopen, he is known to use that.
@HighPopProfessor2 күн бұрын
Interesting! I’ve seen some good stuff out there showing how to tell autopen signatures. “Zarelli space authentication” has a great video detailing the telltale signs of what to look for in an autopen sig and I’ve used that as a resource that’s helped me identify a number of others to avoid. Still, you may be right, Nate! Thanks for watching!

That Schmidt looks like it was TTM. He tended to rush through those much more than in person examples at least back when I did TTMs years ago.

Yeah, I’m going to have to get another opinion on that one. It still looks good to me! Thanks for watching, The Drew!

@@HighPopProfessorHe has been having people sign his mail his whole career and life. I read on a message board (I am sure it can be Google'd) where someone sent him an item to hia house and received a funky looking signature. At a show in Philly, the person who got it asked him if he signed it and he said that he didn't know who signed it but he admitted that wasn't signed by him.

Fascinating! I wasn’t aware that Schmidt had a ghost signer at any point. Was this a clubhouse phenomenon or maybe a TTM thing? Now I’m curious! Thanks for watching, Greg!

Sorry, that Maddux is definitely fake. Both first and last name look off. Great other returns. I don't buy un-authenicated autos, but glad to know there are a few real ones out there
@HighPopProfessor8 күн бұрын
Yeah, can’t win ‘em all. My batting average isn’t too bad going for unauthenticated autos, but I wouldn’t recommend others try it - especially for bigger names. No one is probably trying to forge a Rollie Fingers. 🤷♂️ Thanks for watching, Allen!

If you don't have photos of the original participant getting the signature. I don't give any thought to it as added value. I don't believe any autograph on any item unless there is proof of the original individual who got it.

Hey, different strokes for different folks! I personally disagree with what the market is for PSA 10s! I would never pay the “10 Tax” but clearly, plenty of others in the hobby are only too happy and willing to do just that! I trust my eye for lower value autos, but for higher value guys like Bonds, Jeter, Griffey, etc. who are more likely to be forged, I put my trust in PSA and Beckett as I believe that they get it right WAY more often than they get it wrong. Their “batting average” is acceptably high to me, and the market seems to agree as authenticated & slabbed autos sell for significantly more than raw ones. I personally wouldn’t trust photos in most cases as photoshop and AI have compromised most of those, so again, different strokes 🤷♂️. Thanks for watching!
