@@littlevictoriessportscards197 love your attitude and easy mindedness. The insight you offer from your years of experience is very much appreciated and something folks should take note of. Being a 2-3 year collector, I also enjoy seeing the variety of years of cards you do. Keep doing what you're doing - educating your viewers, giving us your honest but well-regarded feedback on grades, the pre/post sub videos, and sharing what you search for. The accounting video and others were also excellent. Have you done a video about how you break down your time in a given week? Other video topics that might be helpful to viewers could include: 1) how you determine whether to COMC or hold 2) general factors a newer collector might consider when prospecting for graders at a show/shop 3) what you've found to be a good schedule in a given week 4) reflecting back on lessons you've learned in your career Again, thank you for the very educational and authentic content you provide! Hope this gives you some ideas to continue your positive growth. Cheers from Texas, Kyle

Hey Kyle, I really appreciate you taking the time to share that awesome comment. Great ideas for future content. I'll definitely consider those especially the 'how to determine whether to comc or hold', and 'reflecting back on lessons I've learned in my card career' :) Expect those in the future. Good video showing lots of different flaws. What you call "finger nail" marks, I have always known roller marks. Something on the roller or in the paper causes the mark. See mostly with chrome products.

@@littlevictoriessportscards197 do your cards sell well on comc? I have hundreds there but only sell about 1 a week
@gradedcards55167 ай бұрын
It is very clear, both from the grades you typically get, as well as the stuff you showed in this video, that you inspect cards thoroughly before submitting. I see so many videos where people complain about their grades. Can PSA or any other grader give an incorrect grade? Sure, but I would venture to guess that most of these people don't spend but 5 seconds with a card before popping into a penny sleeve and Card Saver and shipping off to the grader of their choice. I look at each card for probably 2 minutes before making the decision to grade or not grade. You have to hold each card at different angles under good lighting to do a proper assessment of the surfaces, both front and BACK (too many people spend 95% of their time on the front I would guess. I actually think the corners are what get a lot of people -- especially the back corners...they can have those little "bat" corners and unless you look at all 8 corners at different angles under good lighting, it is easy to miss corner issues.
@littlevictoriessportscards1977 ай бұрын
I agree with everything you said in that comment 👍 You’ll like my next reveal later this week. I talk about ‘unrealistic expectations’ most people have when submitting, and to not blame PSA so much. People definitely need to spend more time with each card, and understand how important the back condition is. Thanks for the thoughtful comment 👌

Ahhh dude, I've loved Miller on the Cavs!!! I had a jersey of him too, he was great(ish) from the jump! I think the main reason he's not as loved was because he jumped from team to team, never built up a fanbase like other point guards such as Darrel Armstrong, Steve Nash or Jason Terry... also the hobby was "dead" when he was at his peak, even us who like him moved own a long time ago!
@littlevictoriessportscards1977 ай бұрын
I think you’re right about Andre Miller…too much jumping around unfortunately. I loved watching him as a Blazer. He might be a fun one to PC cuz we could get his stuff for dirt cheap like Vuch 👌

I like your info about what types of flaws to look for when submitting cards. However, it doesn't mean these aren't "gradeable" cards as the term you use. Cards can be in poor or authentic condition and still be graded. The only time they will not be graded is if they are fake, altered or don't meet minimum size requirement. Maybe use grade worthy cards or candidates. I understand you want the 10 or at least 9 for collecting and resale purposes. I dig all of your videos and info. Keep it up!
@littlevictoriessportscards1977 ай бұрын
I totally get what you’re saying 👌 Any card can definitely be graded…I should have clarified that. I just meant ‘ungradeable’ in terms of resale value, fiscally responsible to grade a card 👍 Thanks for the comment, and support!
@Kohnbread197 ай бұрын
I think they are sometimes more lenient about issues on a card if it is an issue effecting most of the cards in the series
@littlevictoriessportscards1977 ай бұрын
Definitely. The key is to get a grader that knows the ins & outs of each set though 😬

Dear Sir: I had bought a lot of cards from eBay. The picture of card's edge is good, corner is good, and when i received the card, the surface is bad. But i still sent the poor card to PSA and let PSA seal it even the grade will get low.🤣 Great video ! I can't wait to watch your next one !!

So much corner damage happens from people just carelessly jamming cards into penny sleeves. It's frustrating when everything about a card is perfect except for one thing that could've easily been avoided.
@littlevictoriessportscards1977 ай бұрын
Exactly!! So frustrating. People need to take their time when they put in penny sleeves. And back of cards matter so much, can’t stress that enough. I always appreciate your comments! 😃

So many great cards that just didnt make the cut. Do you ever check prices on ones that maybe a 9 or 8 would be worth it?
@littlevictoriessportscards1977 ай бұрын
So many good cards I really wanted to grade :( I do check comps for those in 8’s, and most just don’t make financial sense to grade unfortunately. Sometimes a select few make it back into my gradeable box :)
@MrMojoRisin43712 ай бұрын
I don’t understand how sniping equals you getting an item really cheap. If a card is worth $10 and I put a $9 bid on it and walk away, while it’s at $1 and you snipe for $5 to get it “cheap”, it’ll just go to $5.25 and I win it. You only get cards cheap if no one bids. You could just bid your snipe prices on 100 auctions and get outbid on 75 of them, same as snipping 25 auctions. Am I missing something?
@littlevictoriessportscards1972 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching my vid! 🤙 It’s because entering your max price early will more than likely drive the price you will have to pay higher than if you were to snipe the auction. Meaning, if you hadn’t placed your max high early, the bidders would not have kept bidding more because they were not immediately outbid so your max bid as a snipe could have gotten the item cheaper 👌
