Say what you will but PSA delivered yet another gun the fan base requested and got it relatively fast, Not many gun companies give a sh!t about their fan base anymore let alone innovation. It’s a scar competitor at less than half the price and now challenges the 308 “battle” rifle market forcing future innovation and a lower cost competition to gain buyers. Gun looks great and hopefully they work great and last.
@jtaylorb882 күн бұрын
The fast part is the biggest issue with them, no QA and a lifetime warranty you get tired of sending them back. I have a couple of uppers that never worked.
@paultoth7853Күн бұрын
@jtaylorb88 what do you mean they did not work? What was the problem?

If they cared about their fan base they'd get their QC under control instead of making more platforms that will have problems like the rest of their stuff.

@weezem i have 6 of thier AR rifles think I assembled 4 of them . 0 issues out of any of them. Not defending them . Just my personal opinion. The AR10 of bought from them is a real tac driver and is probably my favorite of the bunch.

Funny to see what the haters say about PSA. I guarantee you they’re only parroting out what they see on Reddit. Totally baseless. I’ve built dozens of rifles using PSA parts and never had a single issue with a single part. Not ONE. And you’ll always see one dope say something like…. They have to have a lifetime warranty because you’ll have to send it back over and over again…… horse shit. Most likely that’s someone who doesn’t know how to operate that weapons platform. And likely shouldn’t even possess a firearm. PSA is literally pioneering the future of manufacturing in every way including innovation.

Just FYI, you *can* put in other bolt releases, but you may have to dremel material off the back. I had several ambi-lowers that I love and I was able to successfully mate them with JAKL uppers but I did need to shave a bit of material. In visually inspecting both the factory JAKL release and the ones I dremeled, it still appears like the factory ones are thinner, so if you're worried about removing material just use the factory one as a guide.

On my 5.56 jakl upper, the phase 5 extended bolt catch release fits great with no dremeling needed. Tight fit but works great.

@@maxhunter3574I have a Phase 5 ebrV3 on mine and it needed some material removed. It was super tight. Just testing it with snap caps it would occasionally catch the bolt when cycling. Luckily it’s a super easy fix. It’s a great ambi option. I have them on several ARs as well.

Is it 14.5" barrel with rifle gas? Will it have short gas with weak ammo and without a suppressor?

@dearbullsКүн бұрын
@Dominator2930 I know it has adjustable GB. But that will only solve if you have over gas when putting on a suppressor. What I was asking the OP is does it have SHORT gas given its short barrel and rifle gas length, while using weaker ammo WITHOUT a suppressor

Damn look how hard it bottoms out on the receiver. This platform clearly could use a bit longer receiver for longer carrier travel, unfortunately an artifact of sticking to a short AR lower made for a buffer tube. If you gotta buy a whole rifle and not price together they should just go for a proper longer upper and lower receiver

@Nemesis_0311Күн бұрын
@@Blitzkrieg_Wolf There isn't a Milspec for the jakl 308 as the pa10 lowers they use are a slightly modified DPMS meant for low shelf. It's why you cant put an aero m5 upper on a PA10 lower. Now if you were talking about the Ar-15 Jakl yeah its all compatible. In fact PSA has a disclaimer that the jakl 308 is only compatible with the PA10 with the kit or Jakl10 lower. Ive seen other dpms uppers fit on the pa10, but its often horrible fitment and the alignment is sketch.

People complain about the scars so PSA listened and studied those complaints, People wanted an aluminum lower unlike a scar. It’s heavy but it has more features and is a lot cheaper than a scar. Also has a better warranty than the scar to remember these are budget “battle” rifles and PSA is giving consumers what they want at a low cost to get guns into Patriots hands.

@paultoth7853Күн бұрын
No. That trigger is fine. Putting in a more expensive trigger and ambi safety just increases cost for everybody. You want something different you pay the extra to change it.
@trentrockwell6598Күн бұрын
@ Ambi is standard now even in the military buddy, They make their own two stage trigger and even their own upgraded trigger the cost would go up maybe $10 if that Lolol
@Nemesis_0311Күн бұрын
@@trentrockwell6598 The EPT IS their upgraded milspec trigger and its definitely nicer than my IAR's triggers that i fielded. I get the ambi thing but I never found much use in them besides going back on safe from auto, and unless you have big money you wont have a need for 3 positions lol. I dont think PSA makes an ambi selector anymore, so theyed have to license another brand most likely, and pretty much all ambi's are like 50-70 dollars over non ambi msrp. You can always buy a Scar-H..... Or just buy a selector.
@trentrockwell6598Күн бұрын
@ No the EPT isn’t their most upgraded trigger it is their lower class upgraded trigger which is pretty much just their standard now as it comes on MOST of their guns anyway even low end models. Their two stage Nib is considered their more upgraded trigger, If They claim the jakl is more upgraded it should have an ambi safety and at least the Hyper fire triggers seen in the Sabre line up things that would barely increase the cost and again the Jakl in 308 is supposed to be the upgraded version straight out of the box that’s what they claimed and now MOST will have to upgrade the trigger and safety and btw an ambi safety makes going from safe to fire worlds faster and nobody is running a non ambi safety faster it’s not possible and has been proven time and time again.
@Nemesis_0311Күн бұрын
@@trentrockwell6598 yeah man I guess my time operating an ambi selector professionally on m27 iar's isn't valid lmao, at no point did I say it's their best trigger, I said it is their upgraded milspec trigger and it IS a better feeling than the half dozen different m27s and M4a1s I carried. I then anecdotally said ambi was only helpful going back on safe from Auto, it was never used otherwise ambi is a comfort, and if it's faster for time on target then ya gotta train more, That's even with doing extreme paced MOUT. You can believe whatever you'd like. Buy a Scar orrrrrr swap whatever you'd like on the jakl or even build your own lower for it, operator.
