How do you get such a high gem rate? Usually, my gem rate is about 50% with a lot of 9, 9.5 depending on where I grade them? Black light? you seem to have a great system! Thanks!

I use a couple different white lights, a couple different microfiber cloths, breathe on the card a bit, wipe it down. That’s about it. I’m also really really picky about which cards I send in. I have a BIG stack of rejects that don’t make it to PSA.

Just my opinion, but none of these cards are particularly valuable, psa , as much as they say they don’t, does do pop control. When you have junk cards sent in that’s worth nothing, they will of course give them 10’s as long as they’re close. Send in some Purdy or Burrow rookies and I guarantee they’ll be different results.

I don’t disagree. And I don’t try to send in really valuable cards all the time. I have no problem grading affordable cards that all levels of collectors can afford. We can’t all afford to grade overpriced guys like Burrow. I’m not trying to make a killing on every card either. Orders like this one fill out my low end inventory and these cards have sold very easily. Profits aren’t big on these cards but they consistently sell. I’m not a grading “expert” yet and I don’t need to burn a ton on raw expensive cards right now. Once my grading skills are better, I’ll jump into more expensive stuff (like overpriced QB’s).
