Words escape me--I don't know how to say anything but "Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever."--What a powerful psalm.

Thank you for a very enlightening teaching on how Jesus' ministry is revealed in the Egyptian Hallel Psalms (Psalms 113-118) traditionally sung at the Passover and which Jesus himself would have sung only hours before His Passion. The 1599 Geneva Bible in its footnote to Psalm 118 says “ in all this was Christ lively set forth, who should be of his people rejected.” In Luke’s Gospel it is written how the resurrected Lord explained to the disciples he met on the Emmaus Road (Luke 24: 25-27) ‘... “Did not the Messiah have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?” And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.’ CH Spurgeon says a Christian’s heart should leap for joy when they meet Christ in the Old Testament scriptures, David Guzik’s teaching brings enough joy for a mighty leap. Hallelujah!
