The Jewish rendering of Psalms 2:12 states: “Do homage in purity [nash-ku bar], lest He be angry, and you perish in the way. . . .” The Christian translation of the Hebrew phrase nash-ku bar is “kiss the son.” The Christian translation is based on a misinterpretation. The meaning of the Hebrew word bar is “pure” or “clear.” Only in Aramaic does it have the meaning of “son.” However, in Aramaic, bar is used only as a construct “son of” (Proverbs 31:2; Ezra 5:1-2, 6:14), whereas the absolute form of “son” in Aramaic (which would have to be used in verse 12) is ber’a. Thus, according to the Christian conception, the verse should have read nash-ku ber’a, “kiss the son,” not nash-ku bar, “kiss the son of.” Even though “son” could refer to David in verse 12, it is not the proper translation. There is no compelling reason to employ an Aramaism in view of the use of the Hebrew noun bayn, “son,” in verse 7. The phrase is best rendered as, “do homage in purity,” because kissing is generally an expression of homage, as found, for example, in 1 Samuel 10:1: “Then Samuel took the vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him.” Bar, meaning “purity,” occurs in the phrase “pure in heart” (Psalms 24:4, 73:1). The intention implied in verse 12 is: with sincerity of heart, acknowledge me, David, as God’s anointed, and thereby avoid incurring God’s anger. Thus the Hebrew phrase nash-ku bar simply means “do homage in purity,” and superimposing any other interpretation will distort the meaning of this psalm. www.chabad.org/library/bible_cdo/aid/16223

Thanks for sharing Pastor. But I must comment that the correct pronunciation for the word, Psalms is "Sawms" not "salms"..

@@blackpatriot3 That was a year ago, I'm guessing because he said he was least qualified. Sort of a grandstand superficial humility. But again it was a year ago so I don't remember

This man is part of the problem like all who teach in the king James Bible version that is misleading the people for far to long. Psalms 2 is speaking about the branch who is also the son of man the elect one spoken about in the book of Enoch. The branch who is the Messiah people listen closely the preachers of the king James Bible version will teach you that the branch the Messiah is Jesus right but how can that be Jesus said that he is the vine and we are the branches and the Father is the vine dresser. So why do they teach you that Jesus is the branch it's because you're under a spell and it's blinding you from seeing the truth. They want you to believe that you don't have to do anything and Jesus did everything but picking up your own cross is something you have to do. And that something is offering up your living sacrifice to God with fear and trembling hoping it pleases God and He calls you in righteousness and you break the generational curse blocking God from being involved in our lives. You see each generation has a potential branch and the branch in our generation has pleased the Most High with his living sacrifice and his living sacrifice was completing the process of the fear of God it's the goal of all goals and he's the first to do it since John the disciple Jesus loved once did it that's why they couldn't kill him bc he was the only disciple that was fearing God since his youth. Mr. Untouchable from Los Angeles California is about to be crowned king of the world by God Himself . So trust me when I say this scumbag preacher man is a enemy of God and now is my enemy but believe me I wouldn't want to be in his shoes for nobody. Teaching the word of God and purposely misleading the people I mean f#$k him and the rest of God enemies. Preacher man if you don't like what I said come do something about it you know where to find me but you know I know you won't bc you will be only be added to the body count with the rest who tried.
