Delight yourself in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4 I have heard so many only hear the last half of this verse in bible studies. Often s sign of a believer who loves the benefits and promises of God, but has not yet drawn close to God, has not yet become in Love with Him. So many who say how can I have the same will as God, how can I have joy without ceasing? I feel the answer is to truly die to self and live to Christ, to take that step of faith, to learn to trust Him completely, like Abraham did. Trust God and you will love Him as He loves you, and He will live in you, and you will have both the peace of Christ, and the Joy His Spirit brings when you truly make room for Him in your heart.

My husband and I were married for almost 41 yrs. We had our ups and downs , some very serious .. but God worked in his heart and created such a man of God .. He worked to love me as Christ loves the church. We were intertwined in our love for each other and the Lord. Sadly we got Covid in August of 2021.. he died from the hospital protocol onSept 8, 2021. I am broken hearted .. the Lord is slowly binding up my heart . The Lord is showing me who He is in this storm. He is faithful, kind, good. He is my protector and provider, has become my covering. I miss the “dance” of love we had . But I know my husband is with the Lord , worshipping him and enjoying His presence . Thank you for a beautiful psalm song . ❤

I love this psalm, especially the older Greek Septuagint version (LXX). The way it talks about Christ and his queen (her wearing gold with various colors (Psalm 45:10 LXX)) (the "Queen" = New Jerusalem/Zion (Rev. 21:2, 10-27, Isaiah 54, etc.)) and the resurrected saints accompanying them. And, Christ's robes smelling of herbs, as is fitting for the high priest and king, along with being anointed. Absolutely beautiful way of displaying the fuller gospel, the kingdom of God. 🥲🙌🏻
