Bhakti Charu swami died of Covid in the mid 2020 s. He was truly humble. I’m not a member of Iskcon and find them to be generally an evangelical extreme religious movement .but so are many Christian sects. Not my cup of tea but there are some who apparently are making great spiritual progress on this path. God bless them. May they all soften and becoming more tolerant .

Many people devotee themselves to strong leaders. Strong men, father figures, authoritarian leaders is a lack of strong sense of self inside. Many people surrender to authentic gurus and the way you know they are authentic is they are allowing this initial dependence from the disciple but their intention is to make them emotionally and spiritually self sufficient. Prabhupad was very sincere but a religious fanatic and misogynistic.he passed on these traits to the leaders of iskcon. .
