@@greatkentuckian9032 there should have been a foul on Arkansas near the end as well. It was when one of UK's players was attempting a three (I was busy yesterday and didn't really watch the game, so I didn't know who shot). That would have gave 3 free throws to UK when they were down 72-70. Yes, there's no guarantee all three would have went in, but there was a good chance the game could have been tied at least. Given how wild this past college football season was too, I’m wondering if that extra year of eligibility leveled the playing field a bit - one and done teams still had turnover, but other teams may be stacked with depth and seniority due to that extra year.

I think you are just finally starting to see the overall parity of college basketball get better year by year. Also as a UK fan on a long enough timeline you are starting to see how big of a role just a little bit of continuity from season to season plays. Teams that are able to mix in a couple of sure fire NBA freshmen along with qaulity 2 to 4 year role players are fairing much better vs teams like us that have insanely high turnover year to year. Call really has proven you simply can't do it with just freshmen. His early success clearly shows what a couple of returning role players and sure fire NBA talent can do. Recently those role players have been transferring out on him because he seems to be gaurenteeing playing time to freshman one and dones. This is also the reason most UK fans believe Dillingham and Reed coming off the bench was because he made promises on the recruiting trail that he felt compelled to keep. How else can you explain not starting your two lottery picks.
