What you're leaving out at 1:31:00 is that (x+y) mod p = (x mod p) + (y mod p). This helps you reduce the middle terms in the binomial expansion to 0, since they are divisible by p. I had to work out an example with p=3 to see this.

At 1:25:33, you're talking about for all n, and then you write an equation, wherein n is nowhere to be found.
