sir the type of fracture happened in my right thumb as shown in video. its been 23 days and my exams are coming after 2 days. can we remove the plaster and k wire now. i can move my thumb and finger without pain. but it is hard to write. please answer.

Sir did u use some kind of medicine before putting the wire and at the time of taking out the wire.so that patient do not feel the pain. Because it will be painful for the patient. Please reply me.

Definitely Under Anaesthesia like short GA or regional Block while Putting K-wire., But while removing k-wire analgesic IV stat dose depends on patient to patient as per their pain tolerance ., Removal hardly creates pain . So analgesics as per patient comfort.

Sir mujhe thumb me fracture ho gya tha 3/4 Dr ko dikhaya unhone mujhe K wire dalne ki salah di lekin mujhe samjhme nhi aaya ki wire wagera se kitni problem hogi kb tk hoga kyu ki dr ne thik se explain nhi kia tha Isi karan mene ek orthopaedic Surgeon se consult kia to unhone mujhe kaha ki plaster bandhenge or thode lambe samay lagega ho jayega lekin plaster katne k baad bhi wo juda nhi ab physiotherapy bta di lekin bone sahi jagah set na hone k karan therapy me a sehniye peeda hoti h kripya ye batane ka kasht kare mujhe 2 mahine se adhik samay ho chuka h kya ab bhi K wire treatment krne se thumb pehle jesa ho skta h ya nhi

Angulation less than 30degree is acceptable .. young patient and angulation above that needs neutralize of muscle forces.

Sir after operation plaster is compulsory.. If compulsory then how many days it will take...

Post operative immobilisation is needed either by Plaster or Thumb spica brace minimum period of 3 to 4 weeks

Two months old fracture gets united .. take X-ray hand consult Orthopedic surgeon.. if acceptable malunion not to worry need to do Physiotherapy for thumb stretching +/- ultrasound therapy to improve movement of thumb .

As per your Nearly 6weeks plaster therapy given .. during this period fracture unite in malposition if reduction not maintained in plaster . If mal united with less angulation at present nothing to do surgically get a good physiotherapy done., if more angulation at fracture site union on Xray Need to consult ur Ortho.

If no deformity & stable fracture on weekly follow up X-ray.., fracture unit in 6 to 8 weeks but need mobilisation of thumb after 5 weeks with advice of ur Doc

Hello sir my 5th metacarpal was fractured (oblique fracture ), and it's just in position, doctor said just split is enough for 6weeks. 15days back split is removed, now 2months and 10days completed, but fracture lines still visible, how long it will take to go off fracture lines on x-ray, metacarpal fractured lines still visible after 2months??? how long it will take to disappear fractured lines on X-ray.. can I do physiotherapy because, fractured lines are still visible now. please tell me, thanks in advance....

If u have full finger movements like 🤜🫱 and don’t have pain no need worry about X-ray, fracture healing is a long process , hand bones after 6 weeks max practical bone healing is done., do not expose to X-rays looking for line to disappear., ya u can do physiotherapy to improve ur hand grip.

If functional disability persists.. or instability deformity is thr go for fixation.. u may not get close reduction plan for both open/ closed fixation.

I requested u to go kindly through video to better understand the mechanism and forces for fracture (Thumb is supinated and adducted ). reversing/ neutralizing them will be applied in any fracture to reduce.

For female physis closes by 16 to 18yr , for males 18 to 20yrs .. intervention near closure won’t nearly affect growth .. and if in doubt one need to see long bone physis X-ray for individuals.
