the whole country was sad when they split😢😢they had the biggest fandom recorded in Guiness 2008. They were sensational in Asia overall back in the days for their skills and handsomeness, team harmony. Now they're mostly praised as idols of idols nowadays who grew up watching their era. thanks to you guys I got to go through the whole journey once again. I loved watching your reaction

6:30 if you only knew... this is one of the most dramatic splits of a pop group, ever. It still leaves a bitter taste for fans, cassiopeia don't fight with other fandons anymore because we are busy fighting among us. There are tons of bitterness and unsaid things left, even after all these years. SM did everything they could to destroy JYJ, the members who left, being boycotted by the whole industry for years. Only this year Jaejoong was back in a music show since 2009 and Junsu is guesting in a variety show as big as Radio Star in a few days.

Also, AVEX continued to release TOHOSHINKI singles and music videos on 2010 but the videos were not filmed with the 5 of them together and there weren't any live performances for any of those songs, as their activities as a group had been put to a halt. It was AVEX trying to still get a profit from the group and the news of their break up. Those last singles sold sooo well, better than any other and AVEX knew it was the last of the original Tohoshinki money it was going to get, so they released singles, music videos and even a 2-disc BEST ALBUM Collection that even got a number one on the Oricon Chart, the group's only time topping the album chart on the Oricon. They did the same with JYJ later on, releasing DVD's after they had dropped them, so no surprises there with Avex :(

It's strange that after making so many reactions to their songs, you haven't taken the time to get to know the history surrounding the lawsuit that ended the quintet. This legal battle, against SM Entertainment, changed the world of KPOP because it caused the introduction of regulations in the sector, the most important of which is that contracts cannot be longer than 7 years.

They just reaction bc of it’s on “buy me a coffee” list and think they re a good band but i didn’t think they truely like them much😅😅

Nah, not strange at all. Everything they react to has been paid for and not something out of their own interest..they enjoy the songs and appreciate the talent but unless they're made to watch a video detailing the history of the lawsuit, it's not going to be something they'll look into for free.

@@thana4237 I understand. But it's still so easy to check on Wikipedia. A matter of common culture. And in this case, we are talking about a group that has an important role in opening the doors to the international scene for the K Pop.

I think KOHAKU UTA GASSEN is tohoshinki last performance as 5. Even for making BREAK OUT MV they took different time (not together in one frame). Their last singles as 5 are BREAK OUT and TOKI WO TOMETE. I think you can check the MVs

This is NOT their last performance as 5. Their last performance as 5 was on NHK Kohaku on 31st Dec 2009 but yes they sang Stand By You.

Hi! Just a small correction: This is NOT Tohoshinki's last performance as 5 member group, but it is their last performance together as 5 in any A-Nation. The next year JYJ performed as a trio and from then on, Tohoshinki as a duo kept performing at A-Nation concerts. I couldn't put their last performance which was "Stand by U" at KOHAKU UTA GASSEN on the list cause it would have broken me into tears, I couldn't have watched it. They debuted on December 2003 and their last performance was also on a December, the 31st 2009. It was incredibly hard, specially because no one knew that it would be their last performance :( BTW, their 2 appearances at the end of the year Kohaku Uta Gassen were considered such big news, just as much as their first time on the Tokyo Dome or their Oricon Chart number 1. It was a huge deal, as no foreigners were ever invited to sing at that event. To be invited not once, but twice, was one of their highest accomplishments of their careers. They sang "Doushite" on 2008 and "Stand by U" on 2009. Even though things were already bad within the group with all the legal battles, an invitation to the Kohaku event was too big a deal to not attend, so that was their last performance together :(

Unfortunately, the break up was because of SM’s greed…. they were under a 13 year contract which SM changed multiple times without them being notified, and is now referred to as a “slave contract”. They were paid almost nothing, while SM raked in all the profits, and they were overworked and mistreated. Junsu, Jaejoong, and Yoochum, later became JYJ, sued them because of this. It was a long drawn out legal battle, which finally drew the interest of the government to look into how agencies were contracting their trainees… SM lost the lawsuit, which did not sit well with them, and they were hell bent on destroying JYJ. The outcome of the lawsuit, though made a new law coming into effect which made it mandatory for contracts to not be longer than seven years, and make the terms of the contract more fair for the trainees. SM continued to blacklist and go after JYJ for many years after this, and SM was continually sued, and continually lost, and had to pay fines for their interference with JYJ, but they would not stop. Another law was created, the JYJ law to help keep this from happening to other groups in the future, so JYJ went through, a lot of heartache and drama, but the two laws that were put into affect are hopefully helping other K-pop stars now. The original lawsuit was put into effect to work things out to make things fair for the five of them, JYJ never intended to leave TVXQ!, but things got so ugly with SM that it turned out there was no other choice, . I don’t think anyone was happy with the outcome although the two new laws were a good thing.
