Great reaction. This song is actually 5 years old, it was on the Metal Galaxy album released in 2019. 'Brand New Day' was on the Light Side of the album (the Light Side or first half was more electronic, pop and exploring international musical styles - the Dark Side or second half of the album was harder and more metal oriented). This was the first chance they had to perform it live together ... it did not disappoint.

Very underrated song from their 3rd Album (Metal Galaxy), just in case you want to check Polyphia's song, check their song titled "Playing God". They're indeed a very talented instrumentalist.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 I witnessed this artistic play at the venue (2 times on Day-1 & 2). What a bliss!! Exquisite performance by 5 elegant figures in the center 😍. Classy support by our Kami Band on both sides (4 guitars in total) ❤. The actual applause at the end was much much much bigger than that recorded in this video.

I got to see this live at FOX_FEST and it was fantastic. BND wasn't a song that I was previously that fond of, but seeing it live with Tim and Scott gave me a whole new appreciation for it.

Brand New Day is from their 2019 Legend Metal Galaxy album it's just the first time they managed to get together. Polythia appeared at BabyMetals Fox Festival along with Electric Callboy. I managed to see it performed on their 2023 world tour ( no Tim or Scott), it was so good live and agree that Su's voice sounds like a smile, a good way of describing it 😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼

It is a super uplifting and positive song. This song is an homage to Japanese city pop music that was popular in the 70s and 80s. It is a smooth, vibey music that has some roots in jazz, rock and pop. Of course it has the Babymetal flavor.

Welcome back to the Foxhole and now with Metal Galaxy era.🦊🤘🌅 First of all, happy 25th birthday to our forever tomato princess, YuiMetal.🍅❤🎁🎉 Metal Galaxy is a wonderful album and full of surprises, you're gonna find many more like this with more mature sound, it came out in 2019 so isn't so new but is one of the songs with more mature sound. The album version got the collaboration of Polyphia guitarists, Tim Henson and Scott LePage and it's very clear in the solo section. Polyphia got a viral clip when they were performing live and having an issue with the drummer IEM not working and a roadie helped him out in an unorthodox way to save the show, very funny clip. Tim Henson also said when listening to this song that he would love to play this along with BabyMetal on the stage, he didn't know the final cut when he was doing the riffs on this song. The dance on this song is beautiful and graceful, they're showing another mature side and more complicated choreography. According to MoaMetal is the hardest song to dance along with BxMxC and Night Night Burn iirc. Song is inspired by certain "City Pop" band and Utada Hikaru songs, when SuMetal heard this she doubt about this being a metal song but then the guitars solo were added and all make senses suddenly. Finally we got them together on stage and with this awesome live performance, it is their first time performing together. Along with RATATATA this was definitely one of the highlights at FOX_FEST and a lot of Japanese fans were looking for, I guess that cool slow pace city pop element gives some nostalgia and that's why many fans love it. In a recent interview, Tim and Scott talked about a new song in their upcoming album along with BM, let's see what they got but I'm pretty sure it's gonna be something real good like this one. I think this exact recording is a great example of how much Su has improved! She absolutely soars here! She always had crazy power and range when she was younger but there's a richness and nuance that puts her at superstar level to me!

Nice reaction. This song is from the Metal Galaxy album which was a double CD set. Half was on the light side like this song and the other half was more on the heavier dark side. Balance. This song lyrically fit in with their positive strong uplifting lyrics. Whatever happened yesterday is gone. Today is a brand-new day you can start over with and forget about the past. It's taken some time for this collaboration to happen. But here we are. Leaving just one collaboration from the past albums to happen. And then it seems we missed on a chance for Babymetal to perform with Tom Merello who did the single release Metal! I've seen backstage photos of Babymetal with him. Lovely reaction! I saw both bands perform this weekend, and was delighted to see Scott and Tim join the girls on stage. Lots of surprise in the audience when that happened! This is probably one of the least metal songs BABYMETAL has, but it is one of my favourites. Both the music and the lyrics are very uplifting, and it's just a great prog-pop/rock song!

Not sure where you found your erroneous info on Polyphia - they started out metal but are now primarily progressive rock. And they aren't a "Christian band." That was once said as a joke and it stuck - Tim Hensen calls it "sh*t talk." Extremely technical guitarists. Oh, and it's not a new song - at least 5 years old. Just the first time on stage together.

Pollyphia and Christian? Consider me surprised. And this is no new song. It was released 2019 in Metal Galaxy. But it could work out as an Advertisment campaing for their new Collab workflow, or as Su tried to describe it earlier as Dress as Babymetal, but I don"t think that the bellieved her especially how well these songs might work.
