Damn, what a great channel. I used to play this a ton on its original release and recently gave it a go again on Ephinea. I never even knew a lot of this information despite playing it an insane amount of hours.

Thanks for the kind words! PSO has a habit of not explaining things in the slightest and would be downright confusing for a new player, so hopefully these videos help people out!

Ahhhhh yes can't forget one of my favorite Ramar weapons... The Baranz Launcher. Made from Baranz parts!
@SectionSkyly6 ай бұрын
But yet somehow looks like a Garanz instead Great weapon but they botched the name!

Appreciate the attempt but it does feel a bit jumbled after the initial guide of how to get to Dr Mont doing stuff for you. I'd recommend individual videos for each story weapon or drop part weapon, but I know that would be tedious perhaps.
@SectionSkyly9 ай бұрын
The process is exactly the same for every single body part weapon! The bit about adding Hit % specifically relates only to body part weapons, so I thought it related enough to include in this video. If you don't play BB you can ignore the part about Claire's Deal!

@SectionSkyly Yeah I was thinking of stuff like the frying pan or Soul Eater, both weird quest chains I had to look up recently as there are RetroAchievements for getting them on every difficulty (PSO Ver2). While the PSO-World guides certainly helped, would be nice to have that sort of special quest weapon stuff in video form. I have enjoyed your class guides, so don't take it as me trying to be an arse or anything. :P

There is actually a Soul Eater guide on the channel already! I do plan on doing one for Akiko's Frying Pan soon too!

Would you ever do a video of the setup of PSOBB from start to finish? And any mods that you have installed (if any)
@SectionSkyly8 ай бұрын
The setup is actually really simple! You just download the client from the Ephinea website, register an account there and update the client once you open it. I can maybe cover this in a Short or something though. As for mods, the only one I use is the Item Reader (mainly for the ability to see important drops like weapons with Hit%). I think there is a full guide how to set this up on the Ephinea forum.

how do you get the monster parts. do they drop during the quest or is it just a random drop
@SectionSkyly27 күн бұрын
They're rare drops for some of the monsters. The drops you can get will depend on your Section ID and the difficulty you're in! For example, some IDs will get Grass Assassin Arms from a Grass Assassin in certain difficulties.

Do body parts drop if you haven't done these quests?. Im level 54 at The moment and haven't seen a single drop. Ive done all the quests and hes not standing there. Or does he only appear while the quest is active?
@SectionSkyly3 ай бұрын
The parts should drop regardless, but some of them are extremely rare on lower difficulties like Normal. In Hard onwards they'll start dropping a bit more frequently but they are still rare drops so a lot of RNG is involved. Montague should be in the quests I mentioned, he doesn't stand there outside of quests and it's only in the quests I mentioned that he appears there.

@@SectionSkyly thanks for the reply and information. Can I replay the quest? Or is that locked out now. Okay I'll keep grinding haha. I'm currently doing very hard at the moment using the yamoto swords from the dragon. Having a blast
@SectionSkyly3 ай бұрын
If youve already done the quests, you can either complete every quest (this will unlock them all again) or do the process on another difficulty/character! If you're in VH, Grass Assassins and Sinow Beats can usually drop their body part with a reasonable droprate! Good luck!

Does this work on Gamecube PSO as well??
@SectionSkyly7 ай бұрын
It does! It should be the exact same process on Gamecube 🙂

I've played since PSO Gamecube, so about 20 years. Not quite a Dreamcast OG but not far off 😅
