It seems this game is really fun if you're a kid. Because if you're young you don't realize how much of a grind the game is. And there's that sense of wonder that children have where they don't know what rare item they'll get next and it makes it really exciting.

Schtserv is still up. It is a privately run server with usually a few hundred people on. I don't play it that much, but I'll randomly go back to it. It is free to play.

You can always play PSO 2 when it comes out. :P I have some gameplay of the Japanese release up on my channel. It's got a lot of the same qualities (Specially the transitioning music... the first zone even has some hints towards the original Forest.)

I miss those days. Now it's "Ok, new PSOBB private server, gonna make a Skyly HU, a Redria RA, and a Pinkal/Purplenum FO to properly get gear according to the drop charts." I still remember my first red box. I didn't know what it was. I almost shat myself. DB's Saber. I went everywhere with that thing.

is PSO BB still active? i tried to get into it last year, but i figured it was dead, and the website not monitored. i couldnt figure out if i had to pay for access to play, or what?!? any info would be appreciated....i miss PSO, and its been like what - 20 years? haha

Its somewhat active nowadays. I normally solo run when my boss isn't on.
