Thanks for this vid--not sure if someone noted it, but swapping weapons, or using another weapon's PA on a multiweapon, will cancel any active stance from the Talis. So it doesn't multi well, especially if you want to use another weapon's basic attack. I'm brand new so I might be wrong, but I tested it today. It's still okay if you only have one skill to use from another weapon, just have to remember to put the stance back on. But you showed me that swapping out of stance is sometimes better, so it's actually not a huge negative if you have another weapon skill to cancel it--and then you don't have to spend a point on Talis Bloom Revoke. I didn't know about the PP gain from certain skills, that's great! Very informative vid, I learned a lot, keep up the good work. :)

Not sure if this is a tip One of Talis weakness is not having a guard/parry, luckily we can negate that weakness using the multi-weapon (example: Vialto Talis/Saber) this has 2 benefits: 1. acquiring the guard/parry weapon-action 2. you can easily remove the Talis stance by using the multi-weapon normal attack or weapon-action. You can use this instead of the Talis Bloom Revoke. You can also save 1 skill point. sorry if my grammar is bad

I'd say a huge Con of it is the fact that Rod is way easier to use, plus you actually get a block that lets you nuke the boss everytime... I usually just float in front of the bosses, doing huge damage, and blocking a ton so I have infinite PP. And the "low PP cost" for mobbing is irrelevant because I get PP back whenever stuff around me dies, I can literally spam the Cone AoE and not run out as stuff is spawning>dying too quickly. I definitely love the Photon Blast of the Talis... but the Rod is also very solid too.
@CGMatsu3 жыл бұрын
Yes it is quite easier in comparison to Talis. A block that nukes the boss 0.0!?! It seems I’ve missed some interactive gameplay 😵. You also have to keep in mind not everyone is playing the Rod centric Force PP skill tree, still in terms of efficiency your cone compared to my Whole circle AoE + way faster is not going to better in comparison 😅. In the end though if it works it works 😌. I honestly do love both PBs as well!

I personally prefer using gizonde over zonde, but you have to be close range. Uncharged gizonde lets you lazily get zonde-clad since every hit counts, and helps towards the stagger. The downside is uq bosses love to move around. Charged gizonde is also very slightly stronger than charge zonde by around 5 - 10%, it also comes out faster than charge zonde which some bosses can avoid the last hit of charged zonde
@CGMatsu3 жыл бұрын
Oh I didn’t know that Josh! Do you use Uncharged Gizonde once, and it procs zonde-clad overtime if they’re stationary or do you just spam uncharged Gizondes. @@CGMatsu you can use gizonde once and it'll eventually proc zonde-clad. So it's fine to just use gizonde then spam charged gizonde/zonde and refresh uncharged gizonde every now and then. I'm not sure if it's rng, but from what i noticed it might take 10 hits of uncharged zonde/gizonde to trigger zonde-clad, at least i got that on average with zonde and a feeling of shorter with gizonde but cant say for certain.

@@CGMatsu After doing some tests again there's a few interesting things. You need 10 hits for zonde-clad of any lightning tech. 1 uncharged gizande can get you zonde-clad, it does around 10 - 12 hits before it ends, you may need 2 if a uq boss moves but will be anyway to get the stun. Uncharged gizande isn't an aoe (i thought it was), its single target while charged is aoe. This is the reverse of zonde. You can use gizonde then talis stance and the gizonde can still proc zonde-clad while you have a stance. You still need to unstance to use it.

@CGMatsu3 жыл бұрын
I’m glad you liked it!! It might be a little more of a reach for you if your Fi first since you are primarily melee at that point. It would definitely be hard to try to find a medium for melee, un/charged techs esp. on boss fights. If your just farming PSEs/grinding (mobbing). AoE stance on tali’s tech then use Fi weapon to gain PP back or PP conversion if you have it. When fighting a boss you wouldn’t need tali’s all too much since I’m sure you get better dps punching him given that fighter is your main. But in a situation like fighting the UQs bosses you can atleast use Uncharged Gizonde on the weak spot to build zonde-clad while still punching the boss then as he gets up use a charged zonde. (Recommend Gizonde/zonde on subpalette) to avoid losing dps if your have to switch thru weapons

Rod seemed to have no issue with hitting the chest of pettas vera when its flying, no matter far or close. I swear I commented on this on my phone but I guess not... I apologize for the lateness Yeah the aiming angle is pretty trash I wish you wouldn't have to adjust to hit the right spots unlike Rod it just goes to the desired location. The spread shot (3 line stance) helps out a little but still as you say it definitely a bitch to hit any spot especially if like nex is flying or pettas is hovering. Jumping is like the only solution since aiming angle is trash. I personally feel the stances should last a minute minimum, as I think its 20 or 30 seconds before it disappears which can be annoying.

Te/Fo - When I'm playing alone Te/Fi - When playing with friend I'd lean towards Te/Fo simply because I like to maintain my PP efficiency and still do really good DPS through a fight without thinking "Oh I'm close to being out of PP atm" Since I am pretty sure the boss is going to be focusing me xD, The natural regain options from Force ST -- the Charged PA Passive/PP conversion active has really good PP management, it will hold me over while kiting the boss. I would use Te/Fi if i'm playing with my friend because I know I won't have the bosses aggro so I can focus on pumping out PAs to quickly assist in downing/breaking the boss. Only then will my Te/Fi build will come in handle because of the downed/broken passive fighters have so I dish out even more damage!

When you mean stunned I take it you don't mean when the UQ is broken(Break). You just mean like regular elemental or physical down. I try to always used Charged when bosses are stunned/broken. It gives off more damage, while I'd usually spam uncharged/talis stances when they move around. I haven't messed around with Force (Photon Flare) all too much so I'd have to get back to you on that. I'd recommend trying Photon flare Gizonde + 1 U charged Zonde, then like 5 Charged Zondes when the boss is down/stunned.. Since Gizonde hits 8 or 9 times I forget how much but you'd only have to cast 1 zonde after to proc Zonde Clad. Soo you can try out that instead of fire unless your doing UQ then yes only lightning moves Photon flare probably has the best fit with fire simply because as you said barta blot/zonde clad. Also if you can try to throw in a Uncharged Gizonde even if the boss is weak to fire/ice when they're down just to add some extra damage if you are nearby :)

Are you main techter or force? And why? Which skills did you pick? I am playing a fighter/force right now, with dual saber+dual daggers multi and talis alone, using it mainly for pse burst and bosses, and i am having lot of fun :D
@CGMatsu3 жыл бұрын
Techter main ^>^!! Well the first reason was because I was a Te/Gu main in pso2, now the reason I stayed as a Techter Main over Force was because Techter has more utility than Force. **I'll post my Techter build in the next message" Techter provides atk/def buff, PB gauge increase, increased chance to down your enemies, status ailment resist, revive potential with the buffs on revive. The Techter ST provides a nice focus on Wand/Talis in the ST allowing both to have potential use rather it singling out the other weapon making the focus be on just 1 weapon. While Force Provides PP regen, and increased dmg from photon flare. The Force ST is primarily focused around Rod. About 6 of the passive have "If you have Rod Equipped". So standing still, and not moving to capitalize your Dmg while also parrying attacks to further assist your spam+dps. So it makes Talis in Force ST pretty redundant, which doesn't promote creativity like Techter does. Unless you multi weapon but you shouldnt have to force multiweapon (Rod+Talis) to fully utilize a ST. Overall Techter is more of a team based class, with multiple ways to do damage that rivals force, and still feel more interactive than Force. I do love Force but they made the gameplay veryyyyy stationary which is fine for a mage class but it doesn't give much for the team

Does Talis Pillbox stay active, even when you switch to Multiweapon secondary? So I could pillbox for example, then switch to Daggers for PA's and get an additional 1-2 uses before running out? Im a Te/Fi and this would be huge.

If its on your Multi weapon it should stay up, as long as its the same weapon. If you were to switch to a completely different weapon palette it disappears. @@Diddykonga Yeah it should stay up but the only thing I couldn't really confirm because I didn't test my talis multiweapon much is if you still get the same amount of pp back. I thought the damage would be the nice extra and when I noticed it hardly did any damage I kinda just scrapped it xd (although important to note that besides using Te as my sub when I tried it I also used a low rarity non enhanced talis so maybe with a real good multiweapon youll get the pp AND good extra damage to go with it) but yeah TL;DR it works

question, better to play talis with force or techer? since idk if they deal the same damage, and i think you can deal more damage with techer since you have shifta?
@CGMatsu3 жыл бұрын
I personally say it’s best to play Talis with techer and also yes you deal more deeps since you do have shifta as well. Simply because the force skill tree is centered around Rod and not using rod on force Is like a kick in the face (which upsets me). But yeah at least with techer you can choose in between wand or tali’s because the ST isn’t centered around either weapon.

So Wands / Talis multiweapon Okay this is just my PoV on it. Ill add more if i can think of something else Mobbing - Huge improvement (since you can use Talis Stances, and spam AoEs rather using your Autos from wand. But when you do Wand AA it'll be way better than Talis AA trying to get PP back from the explosive Autos. Plus you can have Multirock passive to hit mobs for you as well. Bossing - As you are primarily melee centric since talis is fused into your wand. You want to just make sure yu have Lightning element on your wand, and proc wand lovers everytime its up to maximize your dps so you dont get staggered from hits. I am not 100% but when downed/broken I take it your Wands element will still apply when using Wand PAs so you dont need to really use Lightning Techs, but using a quick uncharged Gizonde will also give extra dps while your smacking the boss I recommend Swift Smash or using Talis Turret to give extra PP to help you spam while smacking the boss either or is good. Of course if you need to back out/can't reach the boss for a second Talis Stance to get some Dps so you don't miss out while repositioning/or just unable to reach it. Pros: You can be melee or ranged, and still deal excellent dps with both. You can fully utilize the Techter ST. More interactive gameplay :D Cons: Remembering to use Gizonde, Talis Weapon action, using wand lovers, & buffs may be overwhelming for a few in certain situations. Not having Wand lovers active and getting hit can affect your dps Dodging a lot if bosses aggro is on someone close to you. *It would be for better in my eyes.* Better mobbing, can manage PP alittle better thanks to Talis turret possibility + ST of choice im sure is something with PP regen, can maintain dps in melee or ranged. The best one for last more interactiv gameplay

So the most unused weapon from base pso is now the more busted of the technique weapons. Seems fair to me. Always loved force but didn't like rods and I dislike wands so this is great. Just to clarify, you suggest multiweapon talis with tmg even when using te/fo or te/fi? other than tmg? any other weapon you would recommend?
@CGMatsu3 жыл бұрын
Yes yes I do for Te/Fo and Te/Fi, since for TMGs have the fastest, precise, and consistent PP regen from AA's. It compliments the Talis ability to spam even more. While I do love talis Auto's you can truly get more benefits through TMGs AA's. Now if your more melee centric I would suggest like Daggers (fast ass AA's), with Talis. Your gameplay would be pretty weird as it would be harder to get PP(would have to run up and that can lose you DPS), but multiweapon does allow you to have 2 forms of AA's on your weapon. But in return you'd have less PAs/Techs on your weapon, ofc you have sub palettes also to assist you with that struggle so its not all too bad just a little interesting set up xD I would suggest Wand+Daggers but it would get rid of the Elemental hit on Wand if you traded Wand AA for Daggers AA's. But you could do Wand AA's until downed and then swing on them with Wand/Dagger PAs/with an uncharged Gizonde to give extra Dps while also getting Zonde-clad stacks. Any weapon choice is fine but for Melee ranged but I heavily suggest Daggers simply for the attack speed, and the mobility of their abilities.

wut i've been playing talis alot and didnt even realise it does lesser damage against down/break target
@CGMatsu3 жыл бұрын
Yes sir :)! Now I will say it’s more effective to just use tali’s stance(convergence/Spread) when there is no weak point open since your elemental Techs won’t fair as much dps until it’s open. If someone weakbullets your Techs skills might do more than Technics but it’s still just best to use the tali’s stance until a part of the bosses weak point is visible (primarily speaking for Pettas UQ). Since Nex’s weak point opens up a lot more and you don’t have to worry about actually breaking through armor. So in that situation you definitely switch off your tali’s stance.
@Wishuponapancake3 жыл бұрын
@@CGMatsu wait why/where does it say techniques do more damage against weakpoints than normal hits? (./ they do less damage against non weakpoints)
@CGMatsu3 жыл бұрын
@@WishuponapancakeAll this information I’ve given is based on what I’ve seen over the past like 2-4 weeks of only Talis. + some help from comments to help me dig deeper (I’m assuming your Normal hits mean Talis stances hits) it’s wise to use Talis stance PAs on the bosses with weak points that don’t show up at the start of the fight (primarily UQ bosses). Simply because Talis stances allows heavier spam, and it’s quick until the spot is open for the rest of the fight. I still use the stances until bosses are broken since Techs really shine when CC’d with precision and speed . let’s say for example your fighting a boss(Pettas Vera) and he’s broken and your casting Talis stances shots. Those shots will do damage yes ofc everyones dmg is different so let’s say your Talis averages around 400-600 per shot. Charged Techs will guaranteed hit that and give a high dmg finisher for the 3rd strike. So like 600+600+ 2400 could be lightning while your spamming Talis stances 400-600s. The damage can be around the same but you want the consistency + full atk from charged.
@Wishuponapancake3 жыл бұрын
@@CGMatsu ah okay, I think you're wording was confusing people is what happened. I (and the others I assume) thought you meant that just pure mathematically there was a difference in the numbers, but you were saying it's just EASIER to use talis techs / normals vs unbroken enemies, rather than it actually giving you a damage bonus/ normal techs having a negative damage modifier to unbroken enemies
