Good refresher for some, although I tend to go for T trials at 3 bars usually. Especially if it's something with multiple mobs that need eliminated. Regarding some of the comments though, I find it more frustrating that some love to complain about other people "ruining" bursts when we have the option to create a private room. If you want to min-max your burst farming, you wouldn't be playing in a public room. Simple as that.

This is quite late but as someone who is just getting back into pso2 after not having much play time or knowledge in general and not realizing you can stop all the loot and such flooding the chat blocking player chat it really has been frustrating when people accuse others of being a troll, A**hole, or outright stupid simply cause you weren't able to see what they said to understand what's happening and you don't know any better, most of the time they just start insulting before explaining things assuming you already know cause they're a sweaty tryhard min-maxer though

Yeah i learn how to burst correctly 2 days ago by another ark hunter. I use to run to E's and T's. Now I do E's but ignore the T until I reach 4 bars and then do the T. Definitely see it take me less time to activate a burst then I did before.

Just want to point out, from my own studies, if the gauge is having trouble filling up, holding bars to get to 4 bars, there are rappys in the zone, and if you kill them, it will fix the bar and put it back to normal. Sometimes there are more than 1 group of rappys and all of them will need to be killed to fix the gage

One correction about the chaos trials: They don't give two bars, but one. One bar is guaranteed when they are completed. The reason they can proc PSE burst from 3 bars is because after completion you get 1 bar, putting you to 4 bars, then the trial completion triggers the PSE burst. However, PSE burst is not guaranteed from chaos trials when you are at 3 bars. This is because there's a small chance you drop down to 2 bars, which is then immediately added back to 3 bars because chaos trial always gives 1 bar. PSE burst is guaranteed on 4 bars, however, unlike the normal trials. Second thing not mentioned in the video, although should be known is that PSE bar never drops below 2 bars once it has been reached. This is the biggest reason why you can ignore trials until you are at 3 bars, if a chaos trial, or 4 bars if a normal trial.

PSA about PSEs: If you want to follow this method, everybody in the room needs to be told about it and ask them to use it. That includes new players who enter the room after. Do not 'bruh' at people who walked in 10 seconds ago. Most veteran players DO know this method. It was suggested all the way back in Retem, and dropped off heavily in Kvaris. It's a perfectly fine way to do things as long as the whole room knows you're doing it. If you say nothing, it just looks like you're being weird for no reason. Anamana (Gemma) made a video about it and several players tested how well it worked. Back then, the results were 'decent'. The RNG of PSE bursts does still apply no matter what you do. This doesn't guarantee success, but it can feel better just because it's a more active way of dealing with the frustration. That said, having to tell people you're running this got tiring for people (and players can sometimes be.... let's call it 'poor communicators' when trying to curate a room), and it could be even more annoying having a trial drop the gauge even at 4 bars (the 10% chance Kero mentioned). This method was found to be MOST effective with a group of heavily geared people or effective mobbing weapons, but until this one, I haven't seen much testing on it with the changes SEGA put in place in later updates.

I was about to mention this. Because MOST people just go into a room and kill things. If a certain method is going to be used, communication is KEY. Also, remember some folks are on console and can't communicate easily.

Yes expecting others to automatically follow suit just because most know of it doesn't mean everyone does and even if they do you can't expect a public room to do as you are without communication I myself will do what everyone else is but lets be real sega is the one that wishes to keep this mechanic in place sure it's improved and is getting another soon but instead of bashing players be nice and respectful. To those curious the improvement coming soon is truck defense it sounds like it might act like a chaos trail but until we get that update we can't know for sure but it was phrased "increase in PSE level when they complete it" so we can assume it might or it might just be a guaranteed 4 bar burst as a singular trial who can say?

Bruh, MY advice, don't do PSE to get seasonal points. The limited quest gives 15'000 points per run, and takes no more than 5 mins per run. Even with a point booster you can't match the limited quest. Easy 200k+ points per hour vs MAYBE 60k from PSE. The limited quest is also dropping Mastery III's and IV's. I've made roughly 8 million in 2 days from it.

Usually follow what other players are doing in the combat zones, to see what their playstyle is, like going straight to the trial or mobbing and trying to get 4 bars. Mostly it is the former. This method seems interesting, but i personally had so many weird PSE gauge fillings that i don't know anymore. We had three bars filled up and trial spawning, and then killed a few mobs along (what you apparently should do with this method) that way it dropped to 2 bars, so we would need to farm for one additional bar to get to 4 , which also seems to take longer as it feel like you need to kill specific mobs places, as some might lower it again or if you don't kill them fast enough. Or you kill them fast enough and have 4 bars and while doing the trial it lowers it to 3 or 2 even before the trial ends. Mind you all players in the zone were doing the trial. So i rather go for the trial get the gauge up and continue with E points. Let's just say those bursts are still weird.

Don't just farm endlessly for a bunch of throwaway minerals btw. Next week we get a new batch of seasonal points and Gigas 4+Mastery 4 augments so save your grinding for that.

Seasonal points for this week are mostly needed for quartz chunks and infernium, else i would recommend farming dreisen, gigantix or purple battledia.

One thing I’ll add to this is that if you are only trying to get a T to spawn (like during a storm), you do not have to attack only E enemies. The quicker you can kill enemies in general, the quicker the T will spawn. E’s are not required for generating T’s. If the bar isn’t going to go down, then you can really easily spawn a T by just spreading out.

Something else to mention is when there's a normal E up, any big group of monsters with a bunch of little guys is highly likely to proc a bar on your PSE gauge even if it's not marked as an E. So typically it's better to spread out and just have one or two people go to the E.

It seems to me that a lot of people are finding the limited time quests better for seasonal points. Although at some times of day, there's a shortage of other players to do it. It's still very easy to complete the quest with less players, but also some people will deny the immediate start requests and you never find out why. As there's an increased chance of a PSE Encore happening if it takes a while for the PSE gauge to fill, I'm not altogether sure if killing random mobs when a Trial appears makes much difference anymore, if it ever really did. Some players will log out during PSE Climax so I don't think everyone is fully aware of the Encores.

The pick up ball then shoot at target is way too boring. It can be made so much fun. Instead of having alot of targets have a few tanky ones. Make the shot piercing. Make shooting the ball more flashy

Hey, kero. Can you make a brief guide on how to defeat the "Drill Boss"? It seems like some people said that it is better/easier to aim for the back legs when the boss is in the berserk state(Core out). then aim for the core when one of the leg destroyed (repeat on other leg). They said it is faster this way. While the other said just aim for the core. Imo, this is hella hard...

At least during purples, I find that aiming for the core is very easy and breaking it stops the machine gunning and unsafe environment (occasional missiles aimed at the player) the berserk state includes. As a bonus, with the machine gun state gone, you're able to safely attack the boss while it does its usual attack rotations allowing you to break the drill sooner and stun it for your team to go ham on the weak point.

Aim for that Drill, it's the weak spot. Ignore the wrest. If you mean the Drill variants such as Gigantic, then... AIM FOR THE DRILL... Any other part is a waste of DPS, given the amount of health it has and the damage we deal to it. That said... Get a weapon with Perfect Guard or a ranged/tech weapon. Wand, Sword, Katana... Are extremely effective against the Drill. Especially during its bullet hell phase. You can repeatedly Perfect Guard its bullets without taking damage, for the most part. Katana... Either 6th Ability into the Drill then Perfect Guard. Or just stay close to the Drill for PG. But do not perform the entire PG Combo. Sword... Stay close to the Drill for PG and perform the full PG Combo. Wand... Hold 1st Ability (weapon attack) while spamming 3rd Ability (weapon action) toward the Drill and ride the bullet hell.

@@randomorc9493 Not really... At least for efficiency... If you can master Perfect Guard/Dodges from Weapon Action (multi weapon or not) or Perfect Dodges. Then aiming for the Drill or the yellow pole when it pops up, is always better.

The game literally puts a giant beacon on the screen signaling where it wants you to kill enemies. If you stick to the e's and the t's as the game intends you to do so, you still have a 10% chance to increase the bars, but only a 5% to decrease it. If I'm in the room with people who play the game correctly I literally go weeks without seeing the bar drop once. Rather than wasting 10 minutes having it go up and down over and over and over if you just follow where the game tells you to go you can get two or three PSE bursts in the time it takes for you to get a pity burst using the chaos method outlined in this video. If people would just do what the game tells them to do it would make things so much easier for everyone else.

I know it’s still kinda broken. Just a weeek or so ago I was farming Resol forest then suddenly no Time trails appeared. Even waited until it was raining/ storming not once, not twice, but three times. The PSE bar ranked up but Time trail never appeared.

Honestly the PSE system is fundamentally flawed. It baffles me as to why the PSE Burst is RNG. There is no new player in their right mind that will kill enemies outside of the E and T symbols which makes this method even more frustrating in pugs. I can't even get mad at the players anymore just disappointed in the design choices that led up to this. Personally I think encore/f is a good idea but the PSE Burst should lose its randomness instead there should be three stages Norm, Silver, Gold. The PSE Burst gauge should Level naturally (not going down EVER) then burst at 4 that way it wouldn't even matter who kills what the bar will eventually hit 4 then burst. We already have a scratch system why would we need to play PSE Bursts like we are in a casino? Also it creates unneeded toxicity amongst players when really it's this stupid system which should seriously get a rework.

Until you tell the whole room and they ignore you u I pretty much have to solo my burst bc no one knows this method pretty irritating but the real fix is that ur bars shouldn’t disappear so often. I will say it seems people Will purposely mess it up to stack the catch up mechanism which is pretty annoying bc it just uses more time

It almost never disappears if you follow the correct method of going where the game literally places a beacon to tell you where to kill things. When you have people that actually follow what the game tells them to do I personally went weeks without it dropping. When people kill random mobs it goes up and down constantly for absolutely no reason. This video is absolutely incorrect. If you don't believe me try both methods as I have.

Nope. So if you want to farm raw points then yes do lower rank c zones to 1shot mobs. If there is any difference then it must be really tiny because I never noticed it.

Hmm. I have mixed feelings about the PSE system. It doesn't work, in a game where randoms join in and no one communicates. Sure this is the most efficient way to do it. But the game encourages people to just go into an area and fight. This will cause conflict, like how we had with Gigantamax enemies back in Year One: with people yelling at players who don't know, over something that the game should explain. Which won't do any favors for the community. And I partly blame SEGA for this. When the fans asked them to address this issue (removing how/why the PSE bars drop in the first place), all they did was tweak the current system (boosted Encore chance) and then say that they can't change PSE bursts, because if they did... the drop rates would be "too good" and they'd have to lower them as a result of folks getting too many PSE Bursts. ... did you catch that? I don't know about other people, but the Combat Areas don't really have good drops anyway. And in order to fix the PSE system (removing the decay), they would have to make the drops WORSE. None of that sounds good to me. At the very least, they explained this to us in the first place, so we know what's going on. But in the end, the PSE system is bad. Trying to run it efficiently only hurts the current community. The developers aren't willing to fix it. I can only describe that as: A hot mess. But I won't shoot the messenger for explaining how the system works.

A lot of players are not satisfied with the 15000 seasonal points, like how kerropi showed here he wants to buy every mineral in the shop. In order to buy everything you want to buy until the time limit of the seasonal event, people grind points, and the easiest way to grind points more than 15,000 and up to even 400,000 to buy all minerals is combat areas.

During a recent private PSE farm session we actually try to damage the trial boss to almost dying or only left one trash T mob, then we can still keep killing random mobs until the bar reaches 4, then we can just kill the boss or the last mob real quick and almost sure that the bar won't fell right when we finish the trial. I have to point out tho that we were farming rank1 Retem Alnothe, so maybe it doesn't work as well for higher rank zones. But just for point farming mentioned in this video (as well as pure meseta farm), it is pretty good. With the PSO2 day burst and auto-sell and a 50% meseta booster I farmed over 1m pure meseta.

This is great info. I didn't know there were so many intricacies in obtaining bursts beyond saving the T for last. This is when you need a team of guys all on the same page. I really want all of the seasonal minerals but this might be the first time I won't be able to empty the shop.

I wish he would've said this in the vid and it's kinda sad he didn't, but PSE is NOT the best way to get points not even close. Do the Limited Time quest. It gives 15k points per run, and takes about 5 mins per run for 200k+ points per hour. I have mostly everything in shop rn with 300k points in inventory in 2 days. The quest also drops mastery III's and Mastery IV's. I've made roughly 8 Million off the quest the last 2 days with a Mastery IV sitting in shop rn.

Just go for the E's don't kill mobs far away. it lower the bar if you do. It's irritating seeing people randomly running around killing mobs and this is why I always play in private room.

If you're going to recommend splitting up, involve how to actually build a bar. This is what lowers the bar: ignorant people who don't know how to build one. The way you build one is simple: you go to a cluster and kill e n o u g h mobs that it will produce a light pillar. The moment you see it, leave. No seriously, get out and head to another cluster. The bar lowers when you stick around after that pillar appears and keep killing remnants of that cluster. If a room you're in keeps failing to get a bar, tell everyone to group up and just chase E/T. Chasing has more resistance to lowering the bar but takes time to build up the gauge so that's the tradeoff. Haven't verified this one yet but if you wanna test it out, here: kill as many mobs before climax. There's no hard number for the amount of mobs to spawn during bursts so hypothetically, if you kill a lot of small mobs, you get more seasonal points. Well, that is if you're grinding alone. A high potency party may be doing better as they can kill Pettas fast enough.
