Note: At the 5:27 mark, I make a text-note inside the video that the units' "equip conditions are level 45". This is incorrect. Verbally throughout the entirety of the video I state that the level requirements are level 65, which is the correct conditions. This was likely a mental lapse during the editing process, that for some reason I saw something that made me believe I saw a 45. Life can be stressful, and I am but one individual. Sometimes human errors can & will happen, so I do apologize in that regard! It is always my intention to bring accurate information to you all!

the catch up gear is also great for alt characters if anyone has any
@SpikesxuАй бұрын
Indeed! These would be good for alt characters as well! Naturally, the basics still persist however if planning to run higher tier content with an alt character. Always remember that budget & free gearing options such as these should be solely meant as a means to improve & work towards better gearing options!

Yup, it's time like this that I tried different classes and probably switch until next catch up gears.

Look I'm just glad for the new LCs Wish every high tier unpaid augment had an LC version...
@SpikesxuАй бұрын
I think they all do now, no? Only other augment would be Anaddi, which is a paid tier. All the current high tier augments now have LC variants. This also likely however means we're going to see a new powerful augment fairly soon, tbh. Because the introduction of strong LC variants generally coincides with Sega pretty much saying that, that current generation of augments is on the back burner. Definitely one in January, if not sooner.

@@NongIng Yup! Lux Halph does indeed have an LC variant!

You made me hear the notes and announcer in that intro. I scrapped the free gear immediately knowing my current gear was better I'm just keeping it on other ships for my alts there but I will say that extra potency floor is definitely going to help new/returning players that choose to upgrade their gear
@SpikesxuАй бұрын
😂🎵. And Absolutely! Great for building block pieces for people who have alts on other ships, to give them a head start as they move towards getting their character ready to challenge some of the more difficult content on that ship!

I stick with Lux Halphinale, Glan Gigas Maste and Gran Gladia Soul

level to use decem units is 65 not 45 spike san 5:27
@SpikesxuАй бұрын
Thanks! I'm not sure why I put that in there, when I had even been verbally saying 65 the whole video. 😂. I think during the editing process I must've saw something that made me think I was seeing a 45 on the unit? So I made a note inside the video to address it? Not sure. Especially considering every verbal mention of it was 65. Human mistakes from a sometimes very tired & stressed man trying to manage life. It's bound to happen from time to time, so thank you for pointing it out!

Even after years of grinding, I still can't build BIS gear. I use LCs because I literally cannot stand the grind for BIS. It's all solo content which goes against what Phantasy Star is about. The problem is that the duels are like the only quests that we got. I want more quests, more ways to obtain this gear, more ways to get augments. I want to run these quests with friends, and alliance mates.
@SpikesxuАй бұрын
Years ago, gearing was a bit more difficult in comparison to today's standards. Today's standards, gearing is extremely easy to do, especially if you just take advantage of events and campaigns. Which often revolve around group content. LTQs, updated zones (such as the mediola outer area update, and the following combat zones update with crimson realm, etc). The giant dread events, seasonals, etc. We have the Genesis Festival right around the corner that coincides with a Seasonal as well, which will make it even further easier to obtain and gear, so definitely be sure to take advantage of everything coming up! In regards to Duel Quests, yea DQs could've been implemented better from the start. They are aware of that however, which is why they've kind of leaned away from them, as the unique fusias found in Duel Quests, have been being placed in recent LTQs and UQs, as of late. Also laxing the requirements of Duel Quests in general, which make them easy to do & reward greater. In regards to DQs though on the other side of the coin, it's good to have at least some easy but tedious content in the game that is fully accessible to free to play players. Because, I know people who made 100's of millions of meseta from doing Duel Quests when people didn't want to do them. It's like mowing the lawn. No one wants to just mow the lawn, but there are people out there who will gladly mow all the lawns & make a profit. So ultimately, things such as that are good for the grand scale of the game & economy. But of course, in small doses.

@@Spikesxu I liked the old "Find armor with 4 slots and put augs on it by clicking." system. Getting a weapon was just about finding it in tough areas. Mag feeding was the tough part. Leveling force in OG PSO, nope! Support until you get chosen by a booma. Feed all your fluids to mag.

I just love that the LC augs are so ez to trade for so I can just replace bad augs I hv right now to them 😊 it's especially when I still dunno how to get gran gigas maiste and gran dread keeper II 😂
@SpikesxuАй бұрын
😂 The seamlessness of the process of getting them and just trading LC augs you already have for them, really does make it very fool proof and allows for an immediate increase in pot by replacing the lesser versions you already had in those slots! Really helps to easily balance the game quickly for newer or returning players!

what would be a better weapon series to grind for? i’m a returning player.
@SpikesxuАй бұрын
Realistically you want to be trying to get the Exelio series to upgrade to the Tri Selio series. There is also a new weapon that will be coming out in a couple of weeks, call the Twalv series. We do not know how accessible these will be, but these will also be an option. You can not go wrong with a Tri Selio either way however, right now. I hope this helps!

The way I look at it, I think people misunderstand what the freebie gear is really for. It's meant for new players that don't have a stockpile of materials or augs for better gear yet. For the casual players who don't have a lot of time to grind out better weapons, but do have a stockpile of materials, they should be looking to use seasonal equipment that typically already comes upgraded to +60. Just upgrade the rest of the way and add better augs. Either way, they should only be temporary steps towards high level gear. It doesn't even have to be the highest level gear. I'm still using a Duo Selio Gunblade and Ektasis Armor with only some BiS augs (Gran, Glan, Lux) on my GB. The rest are LC augs and even then I still manage to draw and keep boss aggro during UQ against some players using better gear. Sega has been making it increasingly easier to gear up properly.
@SpikesxuАй бұрын
Correct, it's all about understanding that these gears and budget gears in general are meant as a means to get you to higher level gear. They're mot supposed to be looked at, as a means to get said gear and augs, and then stay there & run all content with it. They should be used as a stepping stool to further make progress! And most definitely, Sega has done quite the job at making the game very accessible to those who may otherwise struggle with gearing!
@johnwong5317Ай бұрын
For me, it's to try different classes and probably do class change so I get different playstyles until the next one. Then I'll use my mats to upgrade the weapon to my new class. I used to be Force the first 2 years, then Ranger, then Slayer, then now back to Force with all the new Tech improvement that seem like a whole new class to me.
