I dont normally comment on videos but it just makes me so sad how ngs ruined PSO2 as a whole. It lacks the character that og pso2 had. Ill never forget unlocking the tokyo exploration zone and being blown away by the music and the enemies we got to fight. I dont think anything NGS does will ever top the emotions i got with og pso2

Ngs is segas dumbass attempt at making the series more open to casuals... which makes no sense since the series has always been casual friendly to an extent but nope gotta appeal to the people obsessed with open world games or whatever... idk man it's just a stupid game and I wish ngs never released. Easily my favorite PSO2 field track. Running around kicking enemies in the face and destroying road raging vehicles while listening to super catchy music with super catchy vocals. Tokyo Day is the BEST!

Sonic Riders Zero Gravity, check out its menu music theme it’s kinda similar. The rest of the ost and stages like aquatic time have really nice atmospheric and upbeat melodies backed up by orchestral strings… Never knew SEGA’s music could be so addicting…

+Josh Richardson Nope, the last OST only went up to Mining Base 4 just before Tokyo got release. You'll have to wait for the next OST to get the room disk of Tokyo 2028, and since last OST just came out, it's not gonna happen before next year.

You can still play best game tbh. Just all the collabs, seasonal/limited time events are the only things you missed on. Base game is still a great game but it's only flaw is just a lot to learn at first but once you get it all down with guides/how to play your classes and stuff is all worth it imo

It's still worth it, but never the same now that Sega stopped updating base in favor of NGS.

Not particularly. It had a lot of QoL problems that anyone with actual standards would find problems with. NGS fixed many of these, but sadly gave up the scale of the original. If NGS managed to match the scale of the original while retaining its more polished gameplay/systems/etc.., it would straight up destroy base PSO2. Unless one is nostalgia-blinded. Then they'd STILL think base PSO2 stands a chance.

I havent even finished the base game yet because I ran out of internet but it was a magical time for me back in 2021, but then NGS came out even when i got internet again my pc couldnt handle and i didnt know how to revert to the base game or if its possible so i just sadly stopped. The biggest things i appreciated was the diagetic stuff like urgent quests and the SFX.
