It's insane how well the stereo sounds through my s21 speakers, I can actually hear the staging. I can't even imagine it in person 👍, I wish you were local to me, because I know I'll never be satisfied with my stereo after watching your vids 😜

It would be great if Peter could build a community/network of trusted installers. I'm from Italy and I've been watching a lot of videos, but still, I want the job to be done by a professional, and unfortunately, it is unfeasible for me to go to the UK

Most people will never understand or hear a well staged system. Reminds me of my demo on my X5 literally brought tears to my eyes. there's something special when the focus is on the front staging.

Thanks Peter. I was a Patreon for maybe last 5 months but I'm in between jobs so I just have to drop it. I've spent many hours re-tuning my 3 way w/Hertz Mille tweets and midbass plus Audison VOCE 3.0 midrange. I built custom a-pillars for the highs and after trying many positions I have the midbass in 13 liter boxes right behind the front seats. (Factory spots are awful, no room on the kicks, under my legs sounded good but was too intrusive, no room under seat, so I went with behind seat. I like SPL too so I have 2 Skar VXF 15" in a vented box in the trunk and I also even have one more Skar VXF 15" in a 6th order bandpass in my backseat. For rap music I turn the subs up and shake the neighborhood but the rest of music I listen to an almost linear flat tune. I just recently finally made a satisfactory tune that sounds great thanks to your tips on tuning and speaker placement. You have my dream job so enjoy everyday. Thanks again.

I can see why this guy was taken for his money on prior installs. He's lucky he's found you. Have a MK7, the layout looks similar. I have widebands based on your initial videos from a while back, but I think I need a tweeter. Thanks for addressing that (systems require a tweeter).

I love your channel it’s very informative but sometimes I feel like trying to make the car really quiet is great when the car is stationary but wind noise, Road noise, and nose for the fan heater/air-conditioning system seems to get in the way of making a car perfect listening environment for music. But I do admire how you guys are trying. Keep up the great work.
@pssound9749 Жыл бұрын
Road noise can be minimised to the point that the music can play over it easily. You don’t blow the fan full tilt all the time, so that is not an issue. Wind noise is relative to speed and type of car. The noise in the car you get is still less than what kids & wife produce in the house, which you can not control that well! 😃

Could you build this kind of system but using the factory headunit. As your not allowed to touch a mobile device while driving. I know you won’t get the full potential from the system running it that way unless there’s away of cleaning up the output of the headunit. 🤞🏼

I have the same car and I'm looking to upgrade the sound. The vehicle was supposed to come equipped with a Harmon Kardon stereo but because of supply chain issues it did not. I'm not really sure how good it would have sounded anyway. Could you recommend anyone in the states that is on par with your level of work? I am hoping to do a sound system similar to this one. 3 way in the front, a pillars ,rear fill, dsp tune, and a sub or two. I am in the Philadelphia tri-state area. Enjoy learning through your content. Thanks.

Peter, you mentioned the dsp-amps. do you think the Zapco ADSP-Z8 or Helix V EIGHT would be enough to power a subwoofer at higher levels? 240w in case of the zapco isnt that much. although having it on 1000w would "only" be +6db right? also have you ever wired the zapco adsp channel 7+8 bridged on 2 ohms for more output? does it work or does it burn down/ go into protect? thank you very much!
@pssound97493 жыл бұрын
None of the multi-channel digital amps are great for big bass and i would definitely not wire them to 2ohm bridged. There’s only so much you can ask from a shoe box size amp!

Sir, Can we use one of these Steg midrange speakers (or any one quality midrange speaker ) as a Car Front Dashboard Center Channel Speaker and process the frequency via existing DSP ( considering the midrange has wide bandwidth till 15k-20K ). Say suppose I do not want to use A Pillar for midranges. Would using the center channel space midrange give a higher quality and stage performance? I am running a 2 way active front, passive rear and sub and have 1 channel in DSP remaining. Thanks.
@pssound9749 Жыл бұрын
You could certainly do that, but you’ll need centre channel algorithm, something like most Helix DSPs have.
@arunprasadramanathan Жыл бұрын
@@pssound9749, Thanks Pete for your speedy reply. I have a basic Nakamichi 8 channel DSP(NDSK4185AU) but I see Center channels for Tweeter, Sub and Full range available in the DSP, but nor sure it has the Center Algorithm as you mentioned
