Totaly disagree with this , I am currently pursuing Mtech in Mechanical engg in IIT Dhanbad .......and there is not such scenario . If you are thinking of preparing again then forget about it because in 1st sem there is no specialisation you have to study all mechanical subjects (advanced version) 1) theory of elasticity 2) Mechanical vibration 3) Advanced heat transfer 4) Basic scientific computing 5) Advnces in machining These are the 5 theory paper and 2 labs are there .....teacher dont teach properly , you have to to study all topics by ur own and you will have no time for preparation . According to ur CGPA you will get specialization in 2nd sem . So chose wisely.

@@maulikshukla8 If your aim is to do Mtech only then you can .....means obviously you have to study on ur own .....placement is good like 80% of our seniors got placed (min 8-9Lpa & max 22 Lpa ) both core & IT company will come so placement wise no issue.

Is the campus pollution-free? The ISM is located in Jharkhond,wchich is reffered as the Indian coal city & Indian state of minerals etc.Can you assure that the area is not unhealthy?
