Respect and Admiration to you both yet again on this project in the open air workshop. Are you recording how many hours you have put into your Jaguar ? It looked very windy as well as a cold day too. Already looking forward to your next video. Kindest regards, Phil in 53350.

Hi Phil, once again thanks for your kind words, I really appreciate and it's really motivating. Honestly I can't tell precisely for the whole project, but for this episode I recorded maybe 7/8 hours all and all. It's crazy as in 4K quality the files are very huge and this vide edited takes 250 gigas, and I keep all the rushes as is memories also. Yes it's the "problem" of this region, when the wind is coming it could be crazy, during the engine removal, some wind gusts reached 110km/h . With a cold outside temperature it's like north cap ! See you soon, kind regards Fred

Bonjour Mon ami , I watch a lot of your videos , and get lots of useful tips from you , merci ! . I have a v70 2005 like yours , I have a water leak by the interior mirror , I think its coming from the top of the windscreen , do you have any suggestions to repair it with ought taking the windscreen out ? Thank you , I lived in France for 7 years I miss it so much , but still visit my friends from time to time , I will be coming again in 4 days to visit friends second time this year , but first time in my V70 , I wish you and your wife well , keep up the great videos you post .Merci , Bon courage !

Bonjour Hugo ! Thanks for your sweet comment, cela me fait très plaisir, sincèrement ! I think you should start by watching from the inside by removing the 2 sides A pilar trims, sun visors and miror. Then you could be able to see the top of the windscreen by pulling up the ceiling. If there is a leak you could fix it by applying the glue I use for the outside moulding on the video, it's windscreen glue. If you pass by near Montpellier, you will be very welcome at home, just message me. Have a lovely day, cheers. Fred

Great quality of workmanship !! Are you using .6 or .8 wire ? I tend to find using .8 and running the current higher is what ive got used to over many a project , sometimes the rustcure / phos usually doesnt stop the weld but ive had bother with the weld through. But carry on sir making a cracking repair you would put some places to shame !!

Hi Richard, thanks for your kind comment, it’s motivating 🤩. It’s a good clue to use 0,8mm wire as actually I have 0,6mm only. I’m often making holes when I weld 1mm steel and it’s penible to repair. I will try in the episode 13 the way you said.

I have come to a similar conclusion with weld through primer. I think the Upol stuff is better than the Frost but they all have a detrimental effect on the weldability. Perhaps more heat is needed?

Yes you're right I add heat before to do the test and the welding is better. But now I must to be careful when I weld edge to edge with a bit "big" gap it's making hole. Honestly it's a big improvment in my welding and I feel now more confident. As I will use less primer I will come back to the Upol, it was better.
Thank you Santa
