Now,.if it had 16GB of RAM, a more modern SoC with onboard AI processing, 2TB pf nvme storage, and USB 4.0 or thunderbolt... Imagine all the stuff you could do with it! AR glasses, 1080p cameras with object recognition, snd other stuff straight out of Ghost Recon's crosscom

Wow, this is cool. What version if Android is it running? Has it got lots of RAM to run multiple apps? Is ATAK processor hungry? Thanks!

It’s actually a modified version. We had to make some security changes from the Android OS. The mpu5 has 2gb of RAM. There’s more info about it here! www.persistentsystems.com/mpu5/

I'm also curious. MPU5s I've seen run about a quarter of the RAM a smartphone has, would be extremely curious about how RAM intensive this sort of stuff would be

So let me understand, A kid can buy an ASUS Rog 9 Pro the fastest gaming phone quite cheaply yet a soldier has who buys your setup runs a laggy version of Android. Doesn't make sense. Doesn't an actually soldier require speed rather than a kid running an off the shelf gaming phone?

These systems need to be validated more than consumer grade products. It's like car or aviation grade electronics: they're designed to almost never fail.
