The only ports were on the first Capcom Classics Collection, all 5 volumes of the PS1 versions of Capcom Generations were squeezed onto the DVD (that is why the 3 versions of Street Fighter II still have their load times, albeit shortened up a bit), with stuff like Final Fight being emulation, and anything else not from those Cap Gen discs, also emulation.

I wonder if Capcom re-used the idea of for the last boss for Seth, the final boss in Street Fighter 3? I'm talking about his fire and ice abilities. Also, his name is Genocide? I thought the final boss's name in this game was Scumocide or am I missing something?

A3000K Seth is the final boss of Street Fighter 4. Gill is the final boss of Street Fighter 3.

I have this version and don't see a reason to seek the CPS1 original since this is such a good port and the price is very comparable.

As i see cps1 version is more challanging. Enemies' hit boxes are bigger and they strike more precisely.

Not sure the price of the PCB, but this port goes for $200 and higher, way too much money to sink into a game, and even more so, a CD game. Carts have proven they can last 40+ years, CD's give you no such promise. I keep my games in a cool and dark place (my bedroom, which I keep dark other than a lamp for light, or my TV), and after nearly 30 years, my PS1 copy of Samurai Shodown 3 is beginning to act up, thankfully none of my other PS1 games I have had for that time frame have started going bad yet. But I doubt the CD's go another 10 to 15 years, while carts sturdily built, can probably go for 50+ years. This is a great port, but I don't trust the durability of CD's past a certain time frame, unless the CD's I own can prove me wrong.

I don't know why Capcom made this port so late in 1998, I guess it's because since they made Marvel vs Capcom they wanted to make sure people knew it about this character.

Capcom outsourced it to New Technology, a small developer who did a nice job with this port.

Not a perfect port, game has some slowdown in 3 and 4 player mode (yes 4 player mode exists, a code enables it). Only version I own is on Capcom Classics Collection 2 on the PS2, and oh what a wonderful version it is!

Same. Never played this on the arcade so glad to have played it on the Classics Collection. Really wish The Punisher & Aliens Vs Predator was available but licenses (MARVEL/FOX) may prevent from ever being released on disc. Emulation or owning an arcade port may be the only way to play them. The Megadrive/Genesis saw a release of The Punisher. Not the best port but hey, if you can it, great.

Yeah I have the Genesis port of The Punisher, shame they censored it, still fun to play though. Capcom did so many licensed games, that's why several games, including Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, will not ever see a re-release. Though if they are collaborating with Marvel again, it might be a good time to maybe put Punisher out again for consoles.
