Me trae buenos recuerdos este juego, lo jugué en la PS1 cuando tenía 12 - 13 años aproximadamente. Sin duda uno de los mejores juegos de NFS 👌🏼👍🏼. This game brings back good memories, I played it on the PS1 when I was about 12-13 years old. Without a doubt one of the best NFS games 👌🏼👍🏼.

The graphics are good for a PS1 game but I cn't find any words that accurately describe how the cars handle in this game. Even for an arcade racer the handling just looks very off.

Handling was way better on PC and whole game all together. Physics wasn't the best and it made you feel like driving paper car, but only at certain situations (hitting bump at high speed etc.). But hey, it's 19 years old.

I think the golden era was when the NES came out in the early 80's. Back then we only had the 1-bit Atari system. When the Nintendo came out it had such good graphics at the time.👍🏻

@@nightweels Yeah, this version has a little better test driver mode with no skid pad etc BUT the PC version blows this away in actual driving dynamics, physics and of course graphics. This PS version is just another continuation of the NFS 3 and 4 arcad-ish driving game. Oh also, don't even get me started with that god awful in-race music on the PlayStation. Trash!

Golden era is the time when i stayed for the very long time instead of proceeding to the modern era because of the music and the car as well. Here are the cars i used to use in golden era: - Class 3: 944 and 924 turbo - Class 2: 924 Carrera GT and both coupe and convertible of 944 turbo - Class 1: 928 GTS turbo and 959, the fastest car even though this car is hard to control Anyway, porsche 928 should've been in class 2 instead of class 1 because the power is only 240 hp while 944 turbo's power is 250 hp, the fastest car in class 2

I do have to say, I’m more than mildly annoyed how you keep picking the bare minimum of cars, and make it hard on yourself, even when you can afford better cars. Especially in the Golden Era, you could’ve gotten a 924 Carrera GTS, but nah, you went for the base 924. WHY?!

Imo ps1 version is better than the pc vers. Pc version looks same as nfs 4, roads are so wide as an airport runway.. Ps 1 menu, gameplay looks much fun. Though graffics worse but overall better imo.

Why? PSX version added specific soundtrack for each era. PC Version plays any song any time, this is completely anti climatic for me when I played the PC one.

I always turned it off, the accurate engine sounds along with the luscious ambient effects made music unnecessary (though with a PC, you can easily play your own instead) The PSX version looks like it has some neat features, but overall the gameplay and graphics are a huge downgrade over the PC version. It's just the reality.

The PSX version always hurt my eyes. They tried to push the graphics to look more realistic but the amount of colors in the textures wasn't enough to do so. It just ended up looking like a mess sometimes. I enjoyed the PC version of the game even with its more cartoonish looking colors on the textures, that game was much more clear with the scenery than the PSX version. I rented the PSX version and just returned it after a day, it looked like a mess. Hell I thought my High Stakes game looked better when it still had that graphic style of hot pursuit. Wasn't until years later i played Porsche Unleashed again on PC when I bought it for $20 at a bargain bin. I actually enjoyed PC version a lot and finished the game, cuz it was really nice looking even with cartoonish graphics.

The trick to the evolution mode was buying a used 356 white roadster, winning the class 3, and then buying a used 550a and racing it in the Panamerican race, bringing good money. Then acquiring a few of the Panamerican cars to sell in modern era lol 😂
