Hi everyone! We released several videos yesterday including one on the types of anxiety (similar to a crash course). Social anxiety disorder was mentioned in the video and many of you asked us to make one on this topic. Here you go! Previous video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iKazgYWCq8SMidk

My social anxiety is so bad omg. I remember one day when i was in middle school, i asked my teacher to not make me present my project, but she said i would fail if not. While i was presenting istg i thought i was gonna faint. My heart was beating hella fast, i couldn't even speak properly, felt like i couldn't breathe, i was shaking and extremely light headed. I just think teachers should be more informed about mental issues like social anxiety before forcing triggers upon students unknowingly.
@nadie85534 жыл бұрын
ugh I know that feeling, I hate that because I’ve always being good in studies but presentations were so hard for me. I looked dumb and unprepared a lot of times, like reading my script without looking up and with my hands shaking. I couldn’t even read it well. Now I hide my irrational nervousness better but it’s still there. Yeah it’s important to know how to talk in public and all that shit but... It’s really unfair to some people, because they never teach you techniques to calm yourself or something like that, they’re just like “don’t get nervous” 😀.
@yougotnojamsjimin56004 жыл бұрын
I relate so much. I one time had a really rough month where my social anxiety was more bad than any other months and I had to presented my presentation and I literally BEGGED my teacher not to do it she said I have to or she will give me an F so I asked if I at least can do it at my seat she said no I have to go in front of the class but I was able to sit on a chair I got red as heck my heart started racing so fast and I was sweating a bit I thought too that I will faint and I the whole time just talked quiet stuttert and looked at my notes I avoided eye contact it was a disaster. I was able to pass it luckily but I was so close of to fail it. It was just extreme for me
@scribkibs4 жыл бұрын
I feel that :( it’s extremely ableist when teachers dock points off your grade for not being able to make eye contact, hands shaking, etc. during presentations. Teachers should be more aware about mental illnesses and disabilities and listen to the student.

Exactly, teachers should not force the socially anxious students to answer in front of so many people. These days during the online classes, it is even more pathetic, they threaten you to switch on your camera and microphones to answer or else they will mark us absent and attendance affects the academy. I always break down when my teacher forcefully makes me answer. UGH! btw, i'm one of your subscribers, didn't know you are socially anxious too. i love your videos, we're from the same fam (coz kpop, bruh)

Can you help me with the reliable source. I'm 64 and have suffered for years with addiction, anxiety and severe ptsd, I got my panic attacks under control myself years ago and they have come back with a vengeance, I'm constantly trying to take full breaths but can't get the full satisfying breath out, it's absolutely crippling me, i live in Greece. I don't know much about these mushrooms. Really need a reliable source!! Can't wait to get them.
@MichealDavid-lj8od6 ай бұрын
YES very sure of Dr.Burkeshroom . I have the same experience with anxiety, depression, PTSD and addiction and Mushrooms definitely made a huge huge difference to why am clean today.
@maryjohnny99206 ай бұрын
I hate that psilocybin gets grouped with drugs like cocaine and heroin. Mushrooms are a remedy, not a vice! I went on a microdose treatment for a couple of months and within the first week, every sight of a cigarette got me questioning why I was doing all that to myself. It really works.
@BrayWilliam-jq6wv6 ай бұрын
childhood. It was relentless. I assumed it would ultimately end me somehow. About twelve years ago I randomly accepted the offer from a friend of a few doses of mushrooms. I did them two consecutive nights alone. First night was pretty mild. The second night? Wow. I saw my depression from every angle, realized much. Next day: depression totally gone. Never came back, never coming back. It's like it's a forest far away I can remember, and could probably find again with enough effort, but it has zero impact on anything in my life or mind. They honestly saved my life and improved it immensely. I never did them again, either. I wish there was a good, organized way to administer them to people who would benefit from them.

The harsh reality is that no matter how hard you try to break out of it it always seems to come back after doing good for a short period of time. Sometimes I will be confident for a small period and think that I figured it out, but then wake up the next morning and it’s like a reset button and I have to start all over again😔. I pray abt it to go away in hopes that one day I won’t be held back by anxiety and can live freely.
@pes01537 ай бұрын
I have even chosen a career path of coaching so that I can be uncomfortable and break out of this anxiety. I am daily looking for ways to challenge myself which is so hard because I am suffering the whole way through. I wish I could stay in my room at home and be safe from interactions to be at peace, but I know how important it is to my future and my future family that I can be a man that is not held back by a mental illness despite how hard it is to go through. I would not wish social anxiety on anyone and wish that people would be more aware of how challenging it is. I can’t even fathom waking up and not being anxious. I really try to hide it all with fake confidence but it has been taking a toll on my mind for so many years and feel caged up in my mind no matter how hard I try to resist. Anyone who struggles with a similar situation I feel your pain and hope that one day we can feel free to be ourselves. Despite how you may feel with this mental illness, it doesn’t not make you any less of a man or weak. Fighting something like this makes you a stronger individual than the average man. "It doesn't go away with familiarity" that one is the hardest for me. It is horrible to feel like you are about to meet someone for the first time everytime you meet with a friend that you have known for years. It never goes away. I have lived with 2 friends for years and I would still get anxiety whenever I would leave my room. Sometimes to the point where I would need to go to the bathroom and hold it in until they would leave. And these are two people thay I considered my best friends....

Social anxiety is caused by anxiety. Anxiety is mental illness. What I realized by my own experiences, is that I can’t control my emotions. The way that I am and my vision of how I perceive the world are included by the way that I think and feel. I know for sure anxiety shyness are related. Also it cost money when I could just watch KZbin videos on social anxiety and how to overcome it. I feel like I am just a weird person who just wants to be alone all the time and that I’m wasting peoples time when I am talking to them because I freeze up and that I am afraid to talk to other people because of my stutter and speech impediment. Reasons why I think I have social anxiety: 1. I can't make eye contact when I talk to anyone. If it's someone I'm close to I only look into their eyes for 3 seconds max. 2. I have to be perfect. Whenever I feel like I'm wrong or I am wrong I always cry. In school when I got something wrong in maths class I started to cry because I feel the need to be perfect. 3. I overthink every little thing. Sometimes when people stare at me and then start taking to someone next to then I always think they're talking about me. Saying that I'm ugly or that my clothes are bad or anything. 4. I can't talk to anyone. I don't really have many friends (about 4/5/6/7/or so) and the people who I am friends with were people who I talked to when I was younger because let's be honest, when you're 5-8 years old you don't care what people think . 5. I overreact alot and my emotions change quickly. 6. I always compare myself to people. 7. I isolate my self suite frequently unless I'm at school.

Does someone feel like murdering and stuffing kids into a suit and then having to deal with them haunting you for the rest of your life then after that put yourself in a suit that you didn't know that would've killed you and forced you to have to kill others then after that you think that you'll finally be free but end up still being haunted by the kids and then getting a big forehead and then being shipped with people who literally want to do unspeakable things to you and always feel shame and be depressed. Same, luckily some of my teachers respected my limits and personal space. For example, my ex-English and Portuguese teacher (she got pregnant) was always like "oh, you did very well in your presentation, I'm proud that you were able to open up a little but more this time" and if I ever got a bad grade with her she would ask me if I was okay. My new English teacher is also so nice, she's like "I know that you're smart. I also know that you don't feel comfortable around all those people." this one time we were presenting in duos and she was like "Diana, look at me. Are you sure you don't want more time? You're clearly anxious. If you're not ready you can do this later".... My math teacher also was always close to me in class because she knew that every time she asked something to the class I would answer really quietly. She would look at me and say "very well :) you got it right" also quietly.

this might sound dumb, but can you try to tell yourself that you're being watched cuz you're 'cool', and that you 'deserve' the attention? it's something that worked for me... go buy a new jacket or try a prettier outfit.. change your hairstyle and believe me when i say that upping your self-confidence game works WONDERS. everyone can try to look the best they can ----if you give Donald Trump a face-life, and make him lose weight, he'll look decent (just don't engage in conversation with him, you can't change whatever the heck's up with his brain)... in short, do things that make you feel more confident in yourself and convinces you that the attention you receive is POSITIVE.

@@jakaika1414 i have been there, i know how you feel... Can you walk up to the mirror and see yourself once more? Look at the person in the mirror and find out the most attractive features they have. Maybe you have pretty eyes, or you're very satisfied with how your lips look... Try posing, 'DO' things in front of the mirror like no one's watching--- pout, smile, try different kinds of smiles and see which one suits you the best--------but the most important thing to do here is to ENJOY this experience you're having with YOURSELF in the mirror. Play some lively pop music and dance by yourself... think of it like a self-pamper date (with 'self') Go shopping afterwards... treat yourself... there are lots of videos on youtube that teaches you how to choose clothes based on your body--- ------i have found them to be helpful... more precisely, i've found 'following' them to be useful. I am kinda dumb and can't tell the difference between how a colour-suiting shirt (warm toned) looked better on me that my 'clashing-colour' cool-toned shirt did (*just look at how nerdy this seems*, but I really felt like i 'knew' what I was wearing. The sense of 'KNOWING' gave me SO MUCH CONFIDENCE- There's this youtube channel too--- Alexandra's Girly Talk (do it you're a girl) Also, try something new. If you think losing weight will help you look better, by all means, go for it. Anything that makes you gains confidence. Sometimes, the 'sense of accomplishment' after losing a few pounds really brings a lot of pride and boosts self confidence. Cuz, at the end of the day, you just need to look beautiful and worthy to YOURSELF. I might sound like a weird, drunk life coach, but these are things that worked for me, good luck if you want to follow them!

They always think of me as “the chill one” which is fine I guess, but I want to be goofy and chaotic and actually feel free to laugh. I end up being by myself because I push down my expressions which makes me look serious most of the time. Certain people actually are able to make me feel comfortable including my family and the same for meeting new people as long as people I don’t already know are there.
