Reason number 8. You're haven't got the balls to confess about your honest feelings for your crush. Look, most of the time, you become obsessed is because you're still in a state of constant unknown of whether your crush likes you or not. Just be assertive and honestly tell your crush that you like him/her. It's important to know that this isn't a bad thing if it happens to you. Your are not a freak or a stalker most people experience this but don't talk about it. Just try to keep yourself occupied, and avoid being on social media all the time. I'm going through this right now, and it's difficult but something that works out in time. Be that, moving on from them or eventually going out with them. Try and think of yourself a bit more! Do more with your day and do things for yourself and not your crush

However, the part about thinking about her all the time is there. The only reason why that's happening, is because I have to see her again and again at work, so it's pretty much forced on me. When someone gets in love, it is normal to gain obsession. Soo people don't loose hope. In reality, every relationship works differently, and the only way a relationship can get unhealthy with obsession is just if one of the two partners don't find them selfs comfortable or doesn't like it, but as long as both of the partners are ok with that kind of obsession, then there's nothing to worry about. Obsession in a nutshell is literally to not stop thinking of someone. It can literally be gained by just admiring a person, when you love someone there will be always something u'll admire of that person, that will make u remind of that person in some circunstances. People, obsession is not bad in a partner relationship if no one is complaining, outside people can complain bcs they won't understand how ur relationship works, again every relationship is different, it is just up for both of u to decide if u actually like it or not. (Sorry for my english, i speak spanish. Soo please people, don't let a video destroy your hopes, analyze and most importantly communicate ur situation with your partner, and if the result is that u or ur partner doesn't like your obsession, try getting on a deal to work better together, but if one of you believe is too much to deal with, then it is better to break up because it is just unhealthy for both.)

This has helped understand that truly I was getting into this unhealthy cycle, I've been showing this signs for over 2 months towards someone, and yes it might be hard to let it go but whatever might be the outcome I guess is imperative to grow up and realize that most of the times, in my case, this persona, is in my head, not the real life person I see, therefore being out of this thoughts can help to clear things up and mostly help you grow.

I was obsessed with someone for a good three years before I finally snapped out of it. And when I say obsessed, I mean borderline following to their house, staring at them constantly, and doing stupid embarrassing crap to win their attention. I couldn’t stop thinking about them and whenever I was around them, I felt a sense of absolute relief and happiness kinda like after you’ve just taken a hit. It was great...until it wasn’t. This person ended up having to send me an incredibly hurtful yet very true email in order to get me off their back. It stung a lot when I first got it, but now I can’t even begin to express how thankful I am that happened. Obsession is absolute hell disguised as heaven and if you think you may even be a teensy tiny bit obsessed with a real actual person on your life (anime boys don’t count) run. Just run. Stay as far away from that person is possible and whenever their face pops up in your head, just picture something else instead. I know how good it feels at first, but it gets so so much worse the farther you go, just save yourself the trouble and don’t go at all.
