Personally glad I didn’t kill my trip that turned into an ego death experience. It was like experiencing 10 years of therapy in the span of a few hours. I truly thought I was dying. What if you are messing your life up? It happens quite easily, taking the easy roads and sacrificing nothing will lead you where you started... Get off the easy and lazy trails and start climbing the mountain... No pain, no gain... Form a routine so things don't build up around you... Do a simple chore today... Think about what needs worked on and create a plan... Life is always a struggle, for every living thing so don't ignore the responsibility you can take on... Start with simple things... Staying organized with dishes, trash, and cleaning... It's far too easy to put things off until tomorrow, but tomorrow will come and you'll only want to put them off until tomorrow, again

I took the acid w my neighbor, but ended up alone (first time tripping alone) I wakes around my hometown and even tried using heroin ( I know you can’t get high while tripping but I tried bc of my addictive tendencies) I was so disgusted in myself. This trip was such an eye opener and if I could go back, I would have only done it way sooner. I decided in my trip that I was going to leave that shitty town and get off the dope. Within 2 weeks I reached out to my whole family and told them what a POS I had become, I moved out of that town to a small city 2 1/2 hours away & finally put the needles down. I had a very similar DMT trip that really addressed my need to please people or get people to like me. My "entity" represented a person that I wanted to connect with, but it was very scathing and demeaning. The frustration and sadness as well as the hits to my self esteem were devastating. I sat there, spiraling. 'Why can't you level with me? Meet me in the middle. Please, I don't want this discord. Why do you hate me? I just wanted to love you' It sort of snapped in my mind that this was all coming from within, that this voice was a verbalization of my own mind against me. I realized this was shame, and I had to let go of the relationship with this entity that promoted that shame. Once that idea popped up, I was able to look up with a grand ol' smile and dismiss those nasty thoughts with confidence and closure. It really gave me a sense of dignity, and I also learned to select relationships better and respectfully cut off the ones that were no good for me.

Accidental therapeutic venting comment: I did shrooms last weekend after being really afraid to AND after being in a bad mental place for weeks prior. It still felt like the right thing to do tho. I got a trip that was partially just absolutely beautiful (we went out in nature which is my FAVORITE place to be anytime). I felt extremely euphoric. The second half of the trip was very confronting. It wasnt “bad” in an unbearable way (i’d been feeling so bad that I didnt think I could feel any worse anyway), but it did show me that “hey this is something youre struggling with and you’re going to have to deal with it”. And tbh? I’m a wreck right now. I also couldnt really verbally communicate for a while. But it still feels like a good thing?? It’s like I’m breaking myself down so that I can heal and rebuild myself, and it feels like shrooms helped me create an image of what I want myself to be. Or more specifically: what parts of me I absolutely no longer need. I am on the waiting list for a psychologist, but writing this felt like a therapy session on it’s own. I’m safe and I’m going to be great. Thanks 4 reading, stranger on the internet.

Just did mushrooms for the first time the other day and I can say it was so absolutely amazing and fun. I was with friends and on the come up we were listening to music, playing games and smoking some weed. Then we decided we needed a change of scene and left to go visit a nearby park. As soon as I left the room I felt a huge change in my mood; I got really deeply scared as we were walking and honestly a sense of existential dread hit me. We got to the park and sat down and was keeping this to myself which was only deepening the feeling of dread, until one of my friends asked me how I was doing and then I aired out that I was not feeling great. My friend told me to breath and said a lot of comforting things that made the dread feel a little smaller each minute she was talking. Pretty soon that feeling was gone and the rest of the trip was euphoric. TL;DR Put your intentions/feelings out into the ether, it really does help

The depression feeling is one that I fully embraced. I allowed myself to feel it fully and began to sob, I remember staring at this wolf picture and it was coming out with eyes that glowed. This moment made me realize I hadn't fully processed past trauma and pain. I compartmentalized it and put the pain in the wrong place. My entire trip 6 to 7 hours was in a dim light room alone. I came out of it knowing I wanted to live fully and I needed to move on from some past things. I now have a wonderful girlfriend and my life is moving forward. I don't recommend it for everyone. I literally was hugging myself. I did it four months after my divorce.

My last small mushroom trip (plus a little alcohol) felt like a 3 hour+ The Office episode. Every time I was moving my head, it felt like a camera movement that switched between person. It was hilarious, but nothing psychotic.

I was sooo afraid of using shrooms due to past trauma and not being in control. My husband convinced me to try. He helped me set up a calming environment. For me it was a beautiful peaceful experience. I learned we are very much connected to nature and I could see the connections to the plants and sky. It taught me that I don’t have to dwell on the past abuses and it’s ok to heal and experience all life has to offer, as I’m in control of my journey now. I started hiking that week for the first time and now I’m an avid outdoorsy hippy with lots of hiking for the last 5 years now. I lost 120 lbs too! They totally changed my life. I recently had a horrible trip that I was totally unprepared for and I would like to think that I can try them again in a more regulated and secure environment. I also have past trauma and your fear happened to me (I lost all control and blacked out multiple times). I’m truly hoping the bad trip was caused by environmental and physical health factors rather than by my mental illness.

I just tried shrooms for the first time about a week ago, I took 4g my wife took 2. As they started coming on I instantly felt sick so we put on step brothers to take my mind off the nauseous feeling. Their voices started changing in pitch from low to high and changing to purple and green. I knew shit was about to get too intense to watch anything so we went to go lay down. As I started to come up it felt like something was coming closer to me like an entity in my mind. Then it was like an alien language was communicating with me through patterns and non legible writing but I some what understood it. I could barely open my eyes and when I did the room looked like it had an Aztec theme to it and it felt like I wasn't living in our current time. I went to go take a shower to see if that would help and I was trying to remember things in my past to see if would help and I couldn't remember anything but my name. I had visuals of everything that made me, me being smashed down to basically nothing and that put me in a panic state. Then the entity was getting really close and I was seeing like an 8 bit version of something that looked like temple run of this thing shooting fire out of its mouth chasing me and I could feel the heat on my back. The shower made me uneasy so I tried to sit down and take a bath. As soon as the water stopped it was dead silent and whatever it was spoke to me and said nowhere to go now. I freaked out and hopped out the bath and my wife was standing outside the door with an ice cube in her hand. I had no idea what it was or what it meant and she said it's ice so you can chill out bro. It's funny now but I was loosing my mind at the moment and couldn't comprehend the joke lol. So I laid back down and covered up and started to see how my mind and thought process works from the inside and what makes me, me. I'm explaining all of what I'm seeing to my wife and she questioning me who am I to myself and as I'm going through ego death for the first time I had no answer. My brain felt like it was breaking but after some time of this feeling it stopped and I felt like I passed something that I'm aware of. Maybe I figured out who I am or let something deep down go but I've been better mentally since and after saying this was a bad idea for the first 2 hours I'd do it again just less next time hah. Well that's my first shroom trip story thanks for listening and thanks for making these videos I went back and have almost watched all of them.

I had the same transition from blissful, to depleted. The best trip of my life was on new years when I took a chocolate dosed at 5 grams. I took it a t a friend's place but in about 20 minutes I had to walk home before it was too strong to walk. The utter euphoria was almost painful. With jolt/wave feelings coming randomly and very intensely. After an hour of geometric spirally visuals, and waves of euphoria, I started to notice my visuals going away and all I could think about was all the bad memories from my life and all the things I messed up, this guilt and worthless feeling made my absolutely lose it and I just rolled on the floor crying for almost 2 hours just stuck in the worst headspace. But by the time I started to sober up I had my come to Jesus moment, when I realized I'd lived my whole life without putting faith in myself to get through whatever's next. And I stood up, cleaned the snot out of my carpet and went to bed. Never doubt yourself, and always trust that you can get through anything

As a paramedic, the benzodiazepine route for bad trip termination is definitely handy and not something they teach us. That being considered, we would normally use some sort of sedative like droperidol, or ketamine for patients who have a very high potential for harming themselves or others in a seemingly agitated delirium state. Though I feel like sedating someone who may wake up still tripping may make things much much worse than reversal of such things. So using a non-sedation dose of a benzodiazepine such as Versed would prove to be much better. This proves this being an educational video.
@barbariangamin51362 жыл бұрын
Would using ketamine on a patient who has a history of K abuse have a different effect?
@ydoknnyl13692 жыл бұрын
@@barbariangamin5136 that’s a really good question. Depending on the severity of the abuse I’m sure it’ll have some changes due to tolerance build up to ketamine specifically. Depending on the treatment goals of said patients, there are some other drugs that might work better for them that have different mechanisms of action that provide the same results. Which would make their tolerance nullified due to the other medications coming at a different route. Ketamine being an N-methyl D- aspartate antagonist we may use Propofol which is an GABA agonist. Though that’s more for long term sedation in the ICU or critical care transports to different facilities such as aeromedical or CC ground units. For normal paramedics, the medications we are allowed to use varies differently from even agency to agency depending on what our medical directors allow us to use. For my service I’d know ketamine abuse, we would probably go for the benzodiazepine route. Which isn’t the best choice but if needed will work just fine. Long story short, it’s case by case but I could see some resistance due to increased tolerance but we have other medications to assist just in case. Sorry for the long reply lol

The first time I did mushrooms was at a friend's house. People I trusted were present but there were also bunch of other people in the space that I feel like affected my trip. I had probably done 1.5gs of mushrooms, I'm not sure what strain it was. The trip lasted only about 4 hours but it was probably the most terrifying beautiful experience I've ever had. The initial part was uncontrollable tearing up and laughing. I lost some time and everything started to morph and shift, patterns started forming where they didn't start. I ended up in a loop where I was talking to a friend, drinking water and sitting down. My friend had tripped before and tried to explain that I was just confused and that it was fine, but I was trying to rationalize my trip at the time and it only made it go crazy. I eventually ended up laying down on a couch and that was when it went into hyperdrive. I felt like I was jumping through times in my life that I had experienced and some that I hadn't. I felt like I was having sex multiple times throughout the trip. I eventually ended up feeling like I had become everyone around me, trying to rationalize the meaning of life and it came to me as the distance between my heartbeats. Every beat of my heart felt like hours apart, and so much has happened between each beat that I started to realize how much matters in that small span of time. I've begun appreciating life more completely since my trip. Part of the problem for me is my exceptional imagination and the trip was so strong I've had some difficulty wondering if I'm not still caught in the trip at times.

I truly think everyone should experience mushrooms an acid. Preferably mushrooms but I think we should treat these substances like a right of passage. Around 18 to 21, you go to this place and have your trip. You dont " have to " but most people do it. The growth humanity would endure.. The things these substances teach you about yourself make you a better person. I actually always wanted to write a book about a society like this, where you do HAVE to have a mushroom trip, and an acid trip. Some other shamans or guides would continue doing these substances and other substances to guide the newbies. You could imagine what that society would like. Where art would go, where culture would go etc. Interesting to think about.

Intention is HUGE when going into a mushroom trip. They are truly plant teachers. Nothing is better than having something in mind to learn during a trip, then over the next few days realizing what things I need to work on in my life. More people could learn more about themselves if they took even a small amount of shrooms.

I’m proud of you for continuing to learn from these experiences. You’re pioneering a platform that a lot of people haven’t had a way to learn about and in the way you present it, allows for someone to understand where dosing that high can help show you what needs to happen in their life. My first mushroom trip was absolutely incredible. I was in the marine corps and took them with some close friends and hung out for a while but I decided to lay down with no lights by myself. I closed my eyes and let my brain just run wild and I saw myself at home with my family and it was almost like I was actually there. I hadn’t seen home in over two years at that point and it really showed me what I needed to see and to be back home gave me such an amazing feeling of happiness that I forgot I could even have and gave me a much needed break from the awful and miserable environment I was stuck in. It definitely made my quality of life after that much better even if it was all in my head. For me, that cold feeling feels more like a moist feeling. Like I have a half inch thick bubble around my skin that’s breathing itself and it feels good. My first trip ever was about 3 grams and after the chill hit, all of my meat turned into porous mushroom material and I knew what it felt like to be one. I asked my friends “Why am I a mushroom?” and they said, “Because you ate mushrooms” and it made sense. If in a way you really are what you eat, I wonder if that’s part of why so many of us are depressed. Because we eat animals or plants who lived their whole lives in depressing conditions.

Shrooms def helped me a lot mentally. I was a barely functioning alcoholic drinking a fifth everyday, obese as hell (almost 300lbs), super depressed and had suicidal thoughts all the time, and just felt like my life wasn’t worth anything. Started taking shrooms to try and offset my alcohol withdrawals when I decided to finally go cold turkey, and not only did they offset alot of the withdrawals, but the trips I had made me realize so much about life. About not to be negative and do something finally in my life, fix things and turn shit around. 8 months later, take them couple times a week, but I’ve lost 90 lbs, I’ve gotten way more active in life and have changed my lifestyle around, no more gaming or nerd hobbies, was hitting the gym, stargazing, camping, etc. And finally got my self out of that depressed hole, learned to love myself, and most importantly learned to love someone else. Overall I’m always gonna be grateful for shrooms, I was really heading towards the end and now I feel like I’m living life at the best. Wish they’d be legal everywhere, yet alcohol and tobacco you can buy anywhere 😂 makes so much sense

"Usually you don't get the experience that you ask for"... yeah, this is so very true. But having asked for it so many times, I finally got it. It was so intense and overwhelming that I could not do much else than just put my face in my hands, close my eyes and lie down on the floor, face down. But while forced to be with my eyes closed, I got the visuals I've always been asking for; while also forced on a cruise through all possible negative feelings like guilt and sorrow and the combinations of everything... -___- But, as you also said; "You get the experience that you need" is also very true, and happened with this same trip. While I feared I'm gonna die and felt like everything was my fault, I staid calm and my other tripmates didn't even know what was going on. But it was somehow... how could I say it... purifying to say the least. Been stressed out and focusing on the wrong things for a long while before the trip, but it really turned it around for me. I feel like I was reborn or something! That said; need to continue building this new tower... EDIT: Now that you mentioned those morphing tunnels and all that... Oh boy, I had the same thing. I took a little over 2 grams of golden teachers (I think) and those were all small shrooms.. It was something I had NEVER experienced before. But the worms, tunnels, whatever... Jesus fucking Christ. And everything were also in an endless pattern, so no matter where I "looked" (eyes closed still, ding ding) the same loop just kept going everywhere. Lol.

I remember when I first had one of these and I ate the whole bar. 5 1/2 hour experience. At first, the wall started vibrating. I noticed colors and different swishes of different types of patterns of light. My perception was very clear and I can literally feel the energies around me. I was vibrating. My skin was tingly. I felt like I had a rubber band on the top of my head, but it wasn’t uncomfortable. Every time when I close my eyes, I saw geometric shapes of different patterns in a circular motion. I flew into an open area of farm and I saw a farmer couple look up and smile from below me. I was adopted and I don’t know my real birth parents, but maybe those were my ancestors that I don’t know about. They clothing looked to be 1800s. It was a very amazing experience. I flew into different shapes of different realities, and I then literally laughed at myself in the mirror as I was watching my face twist/ turned into different shapes into different faces that looked terribly disturbing, and then I hysterically for the rest of my time on the floor in madness. 6/10 my honest experience eating the whole bar. I think the calm down was the worst part depending on tolerance, but I feel it was fun. Would I do it again? Yea.

Please be cautious doing mushrooms. My first time trying them was definitely one of the scariest experiences of my life. I had no idea “trip killers” existed but that is such a comforting thing to have ready like Adam said just in case your mind goes down a dark road. I have never experienced anything like what happened that night and unfortunately I had to “ride it out”. While it did teach me things I could have most definitely gone without it. Being safe and cautious should 10 out of 10 times take priority because your mental health is nothing to play around with and a bad trip { speaking from experience} can legitimately ruin your state of mind for a period of time or even permanently. Mushrooms are not always scary and can be super blissful and enlightening however I am glad Adam mentioned that sometimes it does not always end up fine. Stay safe and remember to ask for help if needed, if it wasn’t for my best friend how I see as my brother I don’t know if I would have made it though that night. Stay safe y’all

One part of this video i liked . When people ask “how does a heavy trip feel? “ it breaks your ego. In a way thats how it connects you to nature and your life itself. It breaks down any actual idea of what the outside life wants you to be and shows you , your actual insecurities. Without them actually even having to show you anything besides patterns or taking you to dmt world. That’s where mental health is needed as soon as you can feel anything going out of the ordinary one has to grab a grip and say i got this.
