Hello Guys, I am Dr Neha Mehta, I welcome you all to my KZbin channel. I am a Consultant Psychologist based in Hisar, Haryana.

In this video, I am going to tell you the difference between Psychiatrist and Psychologist.
Who is better- A Psychiatrist or a Psychologist? Psychiatrist or psychologist mein difference kya hai? Psychiatrist se consult karein ya psychologist see.
Most of the people do not know the difference between Psychiatrist and Psychologist. For a few disorders Psychiatrist are better and on the other hand, some disorders need a psychologist. A psychiatrist is basically medical doctors who treat illnesses, addictions and sexual disorders.
In Short, treat medically and prescribe medicines. They can also do therapy sessions and counselling. On the other side, psychologists are better in counselling sessions and are also trained in psychological testing. Usually, Psychiatrist & Psychologist work together in a single team.

No comparison, Psychiatrist are medical doctors & psychologist are just therapists with an M.A.+ MPHIL degree or sometimes may be PhD, but psychiatrist are MBBS, M.D.

Yes psychiatrist use medicine to treat. Which sometimes can be addiction and a problem for example sleep disorders. If people get addicted to pills then they might ruin their health. Where as phycologists try different therapies without the use of medicines. Which I think is best way to go about mental disorders.

@@nextriddle4546 In complicated disorders you can't just rely on the therapies. Medicines are important. If medicines would have so addictive, the entire mass would have stopped consuming it. Psychologists are not even allowed to prescribe medicines which clears the note that they are merely therapists. Whereas a Psychiatrist can do both. I have been to a psychiatrist myself so I would recommend them.

@@bhagyashreetiwari6750 I have been to psychiatrists they don't even talk to you there are few attendants who ask you few questions and then you are allowed to visit the psychiatrist there you spend 5 mins. Frankly I was handed medicine of over 2000 rs. Which I couldn't take after few days. I felt no use. As my problem required councelling not medication. I am not sure if you are pursuing md psychiatry or if you are a physcitrist you should start respecting all professions. And we all know how the pharma Industry use doctors to push in more medicine usage. I frankly do not take medications. Except a few. And doctors shouldn't boast much about medicines medicines were the result of research by scientists mostly from the field of chemistry or biotechnology. Yes we respect doctors for their services but doctors shouldn't consider health as their private sector.

We all know for extreme depression & bipolar we need a psychiatrist to treat. Otherwise why would that be a medical profession. Psychology is a subject of arts. Your condition was probably controllable.

Main aapki bhut respect karta hun lekin ye to aap galat bol rahi hai aapne to bola ki 40-45 min ka session hoga lekin maine aapse call session liya 2000 lekar or aap keval 12 minute hi bat ki or usme bhi maine hi apne problem ko deal Kiya aadhe se jada time or aapne fir dava ka bhi bola jo ki aap bol rahi hai ki psychologist dava nahi recommend kar sakta hai...
