I've always wanted to go there! Thank you for sharing and for going! Love hearing from both of you on your takes of the island! I heard the island was considered "cursed" and used by the Natives to banish people there as punishment. Would love to hear your thoughts on what you felt at the Native layer is. I hope to hear more in part 2!!! Oh!! I don't know if that sign shared why there was a Union Outpost on Alcatraz, but I had heard the US was afraid that Mexico would attack while the US was at war and re-take San Francisco. It was a prison as well for Confederate sympathizers that could help cause disruption in the area during that volatile time. But that's all hearsay! Looking forward to part 2!!!

Thanks for sharing! There will be more coming out in part two. I don't think the island is cursed per se, I just don't think it's meant to be inhabited long-term by humans. There can be balance, ya know? Also that's interesting about the outpost - that does make more sense. All the same, that's a lot of resources to put into Conf. sympathizers, ya know? That's why I'm still like 🤔
